if that is Spencer Percy, I'm pretty sure he is wrong about Hornets injuries roughly 108% of the time

He may read between the lines or add his 2 cents, but without revealing too much, he has a connection...

If you remember, he was the first one to break the UCL injury for Batum (he was just off on the prognosis)

He always seems to pop up with "inside" info on injuries.... over past 10 years... across different medical staff, owners and front offices. So I've been trying to figure out what insider would span all those?

The Hornets just announced that he is going to Greensboro to practice with this swarm. This is a positive announcement. Mason is also going for some reason.

Melo AND Plum going to practice with the Swarm? WTH?

Maybe it’s a private peek tryout for a team open to dealing for both. With Nico just fired maybe our Mavs speculation in the fake trade thread got some people thinking…
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Does this mean he will play a game as well or is this just a one-off practice or whats going on?

Well, I guess Melo hasn't retired for the season yet after all.
Plumlee is probably there to help them run some actual NBA plays and pnr actions. And maybe to do the driving, lol.

Plumlee going to Greensboro is kinda hilarious, he's not even injured right?

assuming Melo's just going up there to see if he can physically make it through a practice this week. I guess with games on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat we didn't have an official practice.

Our organization sucks at injury updates.

We don't know what's going on with our young stars is crazy.

What updates are you looking for? They've given a timeline for Brandon and Lee has talked in pretty granular detail about how they've put together a plan for Melo.

A re-evaluation is not a injury update. It's just delaying what his actual injury is.

2 weeks from now he's not going to play. They just setting it back to give us the next update.

LaMelo has ankle issues we know this. They know this. Just make it clear.

He's attending practices like the Lakers are having Lebron do with their G-League team. No idea about a timeline though.

Again, what update are you wanting that they are realistically capable of giving? It's not like they know a specific date that he'll be back and are just not saying it.

Does a lot of this really boil down to the fact that lamelo just refuses to play through any type of discomfort, while the front office thinks he should? I'm just thinking out loud.

I would feel a lot better about the situation if this is the case. It would give me the impression that he maybe learned his lesson from the season where he sprained his ankles a bunch of times and then broke the one and isn't giving into pressure to play through injuries in situations where it isn't appropriate. I would also totally understand him not trusting this teams medical staff.

that's also not even kinda true. He played through injury for a large chunk of last season, and it was absolute dog ****. I was begging for him to sit out long before he did. And not for tank reasons.

Melo will return by specific date.
Miller will return by specific date.

I'm not asking for much here. What's with the uncertainty?

Watch 2 weeks from now we still not sure on their return.

I don't really think that is how injuries work though, it sucks but I would assume they will play once they feel like they can play at 100%.

Whatever the case is going on (and hopefully they know then us) with Melo - I am glad we are drafting sturdier players now. Sion, Kon, Kalbrenner, Sexton even TJ are all much stronger built. Miller, well I still hope he can beef up and he doesn't seem like the type to overplay his booboos. Miles is the lone strong dude from the olde days and he actually plays every night, maybe not terrifically but he is out there working. I guess Grant Williams is the one strong dude that isn't healthy but fluke stuff happens. Sick of Melo missing time......
