Yeah he was supposedly willing to take the minimum but the Warriors weren't interested because?

Zaza or McGee?

MgGee was brought on way later, after Mo already signed with the Clips.

I believe the Warriors wanted him back, but I think he thought his role would expand with the Clippers who were desperate for bench scoring and bench bigs.

And he was probably right. Mo had the type of playing relationship with Kerr that was, if you're on you're in. If you're not, you're out. And he demanded that Mo play some defense or he'd sit.

I think Doc needs him so much, that he'll have a much longer rope, and garner a much bigger role. Mo is betting on himself, and he will most likely cash in at the end of the year.

I really do not think that Kerr was a big fan of Mo's. He really didn't fit into the Warrior mold (high IQ, good defender) and they really had no intentions of trying to retain him. He was a pretty poor defender (horrible on rotations( and his 3 point shot didn't really show up until I believe it was mid-season.

Had he come up with the 3 a bit earlier, he might have endeared himself a bit more to the coaching staff. Plus, if the Warriors were to retain him, he was due for a significant raise, substantially more than what he took from the Clippers and they simply couldn't afford it, with Durant looming. I think they did good in obtaining West, a solid replacement. Looks like he's going to get a lot of PT in LA, a loot more than he got while with us.

I thought it became obvious he wasn't going to get any big offers and he was willing to come back for the vet minimum after KD joined the Warriors.

But now the Clippers have him for the minimum and the Warriors are going to be struggling to get points from the bench.

He shot really well, but he also played the 4 as Dirk was out. When Barnes plays stretch 4, he tends to get more numbers, but his team will almost always lose.

For those of you who don't follow the bad/mediocre teams with talent, some 'must see' players/games of this season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (21 Years)

23.5 Points / 9.5 Rebounds / 6.5 Assist / 2 Steals / 2 Blocks per36 (played 33 MPG) in 7 Games
57.5 TS% / 28.5 USG% / On/Off +18.2 (!)

( 19 Points / 8.5 Rebounds / 7 Assists / 1.5 Steals / 2 Blocks per game after the All-Star break last year, 56% TS, 28 Games )
Must-watch type of player - incredibly unique, no ceiling, great attitude

Devin Booker (19/20 Years)

Scored 38 and 39 Points respectively in his last two games - youngest player to ever do that I believe
This kid is going to be a stud - highly skilled and confident paired with short memory as Kerr would phrase it, most promising young guard in the league imo (if you don't count Giannis)

Ah, and there are some great young big men out there with Towns, Embiid, Porzingis and Turner in case you didn't know. According to some desperate homers we're witnessing the best Rookie since Duncan with an even higher ceiling (Towns), Hakeem in Shaq's body but with more range (Embiid), Dirk Nowitzki but with elite defense (Porzingis) and I don't know, never got as much hype as the other guys (Turner). Get a look at them if you haven't already and enjoy (seriously, it's worth it)!

Clippers are playing the best basketball right now..I'd love to see a LAC-GSW conference finals matchup..Warriors better improve defensively and on the boards before then

Still interested in how Nerlena Noel will fit in the 76ers 3 big man rotation. The thought of either Jahlil or Nerlena being a THIRD STRING big kind of shocks me. Sixers need to trade one of those guys to US.

Once Westbrook gets injured from carrying such a heavy load, they're likely out.

Also, saw your team logos under your username...go Tigers. Half my family went to Pacific.

Quincy Acy released, I've always really liked him as an end of bench type. Does nothing especially well, like below-average across the board at everything, but not terrible at anything either. Has range, can play solid defense, hits his FTs.. I'd take him over Varejao right now

Yeah he's a rough and tumble type of undersized rebounder. Reminds me a little of Reggie Evans with less bite.

Weren't he and Reggie Evans both rocking the bald head and beard look while on the same team?? lol
