Butler is a mediocre offensive player at best, Dunleavy isn't anyone that an average NBA defensive player can't handle, and McDermott hasn't even established himself as an NBA player. But we're acting like McBuckets is already some big time scorer but Waiters has no shot of becoming one too. Or that Irving has no shot at ascending to superstar status. All sunshine and rainbows around here and imminent doom and gloom for Cleveland.
I rather people have all sunshines and rainbows instead of being scared like a bunch of wusses (not aimed towards you). Our team is not scared of them and neither should the fans because we don't know how that team will play out.
Scared or realistic? People weren't "scared" of Miami in 2011. Still lost to them in 5. As a friend of mine always says, you don't have to be scared to get whooped. The thought that all our young players (McDermott, Snell, Mirotic, Butler) will develop into the offensive players we need but that Cleveland's young guys (Irving, Waiters, Thompson) have no further development in them despite them all being superior prospects with more talent is delusional. And then there's the fact that they have LeBron James on their team. And Kevin Love. Cleveland is making SIGNIFICANT upgrades to their roster. If the Bulls don't do the same at the wing position we'll be left behind. Simple as that.
Sorry man I'm just not apart of the doom and gloom group. We both have different opinions on this situation so that's all I can leave it up to being what you think is realistic is what I call being scared. To me being scared wins you nothing but a deserved ass whooping. Like I said I have faith in this team and if they show no signs of bowing down and kissing Clevelands ass then neither do I.
