Van Vleet would be a solid starting PG. Only under contract for a year but the suns would have his bird rights next summer so could go over the cap to keep him.

I would love to get Van Vleet but I would prefer to trade Josh Jackson + Mil pick for him.

Its just one game but after seeing that -16 today vs DJ Augustine and Michael Carter Williams, I gotta say thats a hard pass.

Some players I like for the MLE and BIE excemptions in no particular order:

Frank Kaminsky
Chuck Diallo
Luc Mbah a Moute
T.J. McConnell
Pat Beverley
Seth Curry

Haven't really heard these names brought up anywhere other than McConnell.

Both Beverly and amoute would be great defensive veteran additions for our exceptions, They both have great work ethics and would be great mentors for our young players. Great mentions man, would love to add them to our bench.

I've mentioned Beverley and Collison as my top two choices at PG if we didn't make any trades. Might not be enough for Collison though...especially if Indiana wants to keep him..but maybe if we traded down or out of draft to add cap space. Mentioned Beverley yesterday.

I agree about Collison. I think that Indiana will definitely have the money to keep him, should they wish too. And given his improved production and overall performance , in contrast to Josephs' recent struggles, they may prioritize him first.

I'm happy with Oubre falling into our laps in the end, but would of also been happy to have pulled off a trade with the Clippers for both of those players, using Ariza if we could have too.

I think Luc Mbah Moutes knee is ruined. But yeah a player like him would be a good addition.

Thoughts on Ed Davis as a FA this off season? I saw his name on the list of available PF's a few weeks ago that someone posted and he seems like he could be the same kind of influence as Crawford is/was. Steady player who knows his role and also fills a need. How much will he cost next year?

Watching Beverley last night - he was guarding KD - guy is just a ball player. Shoots pretty well beyond the arc, I think close to 40%. He and Tyler with Booker with be a good trio as two of those guys bring a big of "snark a**" to the floor.

As for Ed Davis - good solid NBA player. I am not sure what the NEts have in terms of Bird Rights since he signed for 4m - but if the Suns have the cash - he would be an option. I still like Aminu better as I think he is a better 3 point shooter - and the Suns need that.

Still prefer COllison and Aminu but would take PatBev and Aminu for sure . Either scenario - Suns are going to have to move WArren or Josh, possibly trade back a few spots. I guess they can try to work out something with Tyler - but again, what is his price for 3 years that makes sense for the suns

We'd of course have to check out his knees' condition  But yes, A PLAYER LIKE HIM would be a great bench player and defensive mentor ( tenacity) for our young players. Especially on a minimum deal.

If love to see us make a push for Dinwiddie this summer, especially if Nets get Kyrie.

Would Warren make sense for the Nets? If they have DLo would they want to spread resources

It's bad business. You don't convince a guy to extend on a reasonable deal and then trade him a few months later. He's a solid bench PG. You need a solid bench PG if you want to be good. They like him. They also have lots of wings.

If this is possible, I would be all for it, especially if we do not get Ja. But I agree with you. I doubt it is possible.
