First of all, don't let my numbers fool you, I've been around longer than you think.
Secondly, what you're saying is pure folly and disingenuous. The "whole " board wasn't down on Tatum and very few cept the Euro crowd knew much about Frank. So Frank wasn't a unanimous pick as you are insinuating.

You def weren't here if you believe that.
About 95% of this board hated Tatum. Go ask Worst_To_First. Me and him were the biggest Tatum fans that year. I would say Greenie too but shes not here and you don't know her. Unless you're a previously banned poster. There was a few other Tatum fans but not much. People thought he reminded them of Melo too much and wanted no parts of him. Go look in the draft threads since you weren't here.
Yes I remember those times.
To be honest I was also high on Josh Jackson as the other wing during that time although I was worried on his short wingspan. I commend you for being that steadfast on Tatum. Tatum’s skillset and physical measurable were sort of one that would give a franchise another shot at a Carmelo Anthony type of player but is one that you could mold better.
The 2017 draft is memorable as it is one that fans should study closely given the mistakes that were made by certain teams.
I was a big Josh Jackson guy too. I’ve got a soft spot for playmaking wings. I think a lot of us weren’t high on Tatum cuz we just dealt with a declining Melo and we’re super against drafting another ISO scorer. I know that’s why I didn’t like him. I wanted someone who “played the right way” and unselfish. At least I was a Fox guy cuz Jackson and Smith Jr both busted
