No it’s not. Not voting is not voting. If neither candidate represents me and values neither of them deserve my vote. Say what you want about Trump but he went out there and earned those votes he got by speaking directly to people’s concerns. You think you’re going to win an election because your VP is 25% black? And your head of the ticket is half brain dead? You better think again.
Not voting means that you give up your voice in any matters. If you’re a Progressive and you actively let aid Republicans by not voting or voting third party then you’ve given up any opportunity to move your policies forward. Do you care about climate crisis? gun reform? income inequality? Then vote for a Democrat because while you’ll never get 100% of what you want immediately, you’ll get some percentage. If you let Republicans win then not only do you get 0% of what you want you end up going into a deficit that’s much harder to crawl out of.
What makes you think Trump earned his votes? He won by roughly 100000 votes, there were 170,000,000 total votes casted. You don’t need to be a math genius to realized that he won with less than 1% of the total votes. 4 million people voted for Obama in 2012 that stayed home in 2016. Trump didn’t work for anything (I’ll leave out the fact that he cheated and did something illegal to help him win) he won simply because a lot of voters gave up their voice. I’m curious what specific policies of Trump do you think addressed people’s concerns?
I don’t see any difference between republicans and corporate democrats, so why would I vote for Biden? Trump is a salesman who talked his way into the White House, it is what it is, he played by the rules that were already in place, saying he cheated makes you look weak and whiny. It isn’t his fault you guys put up Hilary Clinton and just expected her to win because of her last name. You doing the same thing with Biden just because he was ObAmas VP, but low key even OBama doesn’t like Joe Biden. Hilarious.
One thing I will say is at least Trumps foreign policy has been OK in comparison with ObAma and the hawkish democratic establishment that destabilized the Middle East and then bragged about it. His economy was doing pretty damn good before the pandemic too...it’s pretty sad that the biggest boon for democrats this election season isn’t even the merit of their own nominee...but a deadly virus. Lmao.
Can you show me where Republican policies are better on the following areas: income inequality, climate change, election security, gun control, education, coronavirus response? You’re wrong that there’s no difference between corporate Democrats and Republicans, but assuming your premise is true, having Progressives in the Congress and Senate with a President Biden will push more Progressive policies. You get nothing with President Trump.
Trump and his campaign knowingly coordinated with a foreign country and wikileaks to undermine the election. This is indisputable fact. They were offered stolen information and didn’t go to the FBI. Then tried to cover up their actions. Not only is this cheating, it’s blatantly illegal. Would you be okay with Biden working with China to to beat Trump? How about getting illegally obtained information on Bernie from China to influence the primaries?
Under Trump there have been more civilian casualties in the Middle East, the number of ISIS members has increased, he’s drone strikes have increased and more. I can go into more detail if you like but Trump’s foreign policy is unequivocally worse then Obama’s. I can also show you that the economy was much better under Obama as well using different metrics. It will be a long post and I’m not going to bother posting if you’re not going to take in the information.
