If New Orleans is willing to give up Ball to take on a contract, this is what I'm thinking. Adams and Ball for Porter and Felicio, they were rumored to like Otto Porter.
Then use Sato, Lauri, Valintine, filler maybe in a three-way if need for DeRozan.
Pg)Ball/Archie/Dotson
Sg)Lavine/White/Mokoka
Sf)DeRozan/Temple/Hutch
Pf)P-Will/Young/Gafford
C)Adams/Carter/Kornet

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
Hope the Bulls are sellers. I've been on the "this rebuild has failed, time to start over" train since last season. However ive changed my mind on 1 item and am starting to have doubts on another:
* I didnt think Lavine would be this good, I think you can build a good team around him as a 1a/1b player it just takes the right composition
* I wanted Bulls to trade Thad for whatever assets they could get at the deadline, I still think thats the smartest play but oh god this team will be close to unwatchable without him

@McGrawDHBulls: Lauri Markkanen and Thad Young both listed as starters for #Bulls tonight; another sign there's probably no trades cooking before tomorrow's deadline.

Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

If we're not gonna pay Markannen (I'm not even discussing if we should), trading him for whatever is better than letting him walk.

I think that kinda kills the Lauri for ball talk. As it should. Take Sato and a 2nd or we just get ball in the summer

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
I want Lonzo on the Bulls so bad, but it doesn’t make sense to trade an asset for him. The Sato & 2nd rumor made sense, but anything more is just being inpatient.
He wants to play in a big market and we know he isn’t happy in New Orleans (LaVar said so). Wait for the offseason and then sign him (or someone else).

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
There's no point in keeping Thad to please Zach if the rest of the team is a disgrace, like it is right now.
I'm watching the game right now and it's pretty clear, we have to pick a lane!!!

Did anyone expect them to be traded before tomorrow? I certainly didn’t. I don’t think this is indicative of anything besides not wanting to trade guys before a (potentially) winnable game. If they are traded I always expected it would go down to the last hour or so when things really ramp up.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
Making no trades is a mistake in philosophy. Sadly we are back to a pretty full rebuild due to missing on pretty much every pick other that P wil.

Jury is out on PWill. He is all potential. But at least he has the physical tools to be really good.

isnt paxson still special advisor? I bet AK asks for advice bc if I never followed the Bulls this yr I would have thought this is garpax regime.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
Expected no action on Thad, reports were clear AK was probably going to keep him. Impossible we get some amazing young player or high 1st rounder for him, probably a low 1st rounder or two. More Hutchisons, yay.
No Lauri trade probably means neither Ball or Derozan.
Still, I think even a minor trade helps this team. It's really the worst bench in the league IMO, you could throw a rock at other team's rosters and find upgrades. The team has collapsed since Garrett Bartholomew Temple became injured, that says volumes.
