I like Dudley a lot, I'm just hoping that we don't bring him back.

Good player, just doesn't have a place on the Suns right now.

Delly gets 4/38 from the Bucks. That's almost $10M a year for an o.k. back-up PG. Yeah, Knight's deal is just fine.

Delly is more than an ok back up, he was among the league leaders in assists for bench players and the Cavs were outscoring opponents by 10.2 points per 100 possesion with him on the floor, second highest net rating on the team only behind Bron. He faceguarded Steph in the 2014-2015 finals and denied him the ball.

Gambo with no news on the Suns free agency plans. He is good with the draft and on some trades but has not been in the loop all that much with free agency since McDonough was hired. All he said was obvious stuff and that the Suns tried to keep Teletovich but it did not work out.

NTB, wtf are you talking about?

bwgood, we keep saying it because there's a bunch of people here who nitpick everything Knight does on the court.

Even knowledgable bball fans have been telling me for the last 12 months that they wouldn't want their teams to sign knight at his contract if they had the opportunity.

Hopefully that opinion died today.

O.k. Lets put a pin in this and revisit it in 6 months after he's had a couple months with the Bucks. His stats are 7.5ppg and 4.4apg while shooting right at 40% from the field while LeBron sucks up all the air in the room. Now he's making the new MLE. I'm anxious to see what he can do.

The Suns still have too many guards, especially if Price re-signs. Booker, Bledsoe, Knight, Goodwin, Price, and Ulis. Not enough minutes to go around.

I would only do trades, with the market right now make trades for assets with LONG TERM CONTRACTS!!! BC almost every contract signed before this year is a bargan

Well, I mean we've got to sign someone to hit the cap floor, right?

Nah, that stuff isn't calculated until the last day of the season. We don't have to do squat right now.

No Price then and all is OK. Five guards for two positions is the standard, we need some depth.

Solomon Hill at $13M per season is one of the most incredible deals IMO. He is a 15 mpg guy.

If we're signing an older player like Dudley, it needs to be for 1 year or 1 year with a player option. Any more than that is nonsense. We should be trying to walk into next offseason with as much space as possible. Go after Hayward who will be unrestricted and another piece who is young and fits the age window of the team.

Thought I read that Ulis might miss the whole season.

Hopefully. But I see most people saying they are just not a fan of his game. His contract is inconsequential if you don't like his game. I never really liked shoot first players with high usage rates. Even the top notch ones like Kobe, Melo and Harden. Just not my favorite types of players. I prefer pass first, team players with high IQ.

It's more of just a personal preference. I can get how some can like that type of player and want to pay big bucks for the really good ones or avg money (relatively speaking) for the average ones.

Signing Price is fine. Bledsoe Booker and knight should get most if not all the guard minutes. Ulis will probably start out down in the d league, price will be spot minutes, and Goodwin will ride the pine.

6 is the right number on a 15 man roster. You need depth for injuries and if they end up moving Knight or Bledsoe mid-season.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Gambo was pretty confident about Teletovic coming back

As for the signings, there is not one signing so far that I feel like the Suns missed out. Teletovic was probably as good of a deal as there has been

I am even okay if Dudley isn't back. I think I prefer David West anyway

No way, he is playing even in Summer League.

Until all the free agents are signed, it wouldn't surprise me whatsoever if one of those guys that will get a lot of money signs with us out of left field. Even someone like Kent Bazemore (just saw something that said he had six more teams to meet with). Atlanta looking for a meeting with Courtney Lee in case Bazemore leaves. Maybe they'd S&T him for Knight.

Now that's a three guard starting lineup that could work JMAC: Bledsoe, Booker and Bazemore.

If Marvin Williams hasn't signed yet, he is the guy that will get pretty big money that makes the most sense to start at PF for a year or two and let the young guys learn from him.

McD isn't one to be quiet, though I'll be happy if we do just sign Leuer and have the massive cap space to absorb contracts if needed and get assets to do so. That COULD happen in the next day or two...someone NEEDS to clear cap space and we accept one for a first round pick or something.
