Surgery hasn't been something the Sixers have discussed, but according to two orthopedic surgeons, it would seem probable. A minor repair would result in a six-to-eight week recovery but a bigger tear could mean a six-eight month recovery. The 76ers have contended that the tear is "slight" and "minor".
Well if this is true and 2 surgeons are saying its a probably surgery... why isn't it being done ASAP. I hope they are right that it is minor... and a 2 month recovery... but if it is major and 8 months we are already looking at December... and with the 76ers penchant for taking twice as long... that wipes out all of next season as well.

 Question: It seems like getting Embiid and Simmons healthy by 2018-2019 is the key and not really worrying about 17-18. Am I missing something on that? Especially if you get lucky and get a top 3 - it would allow your PG to have a bit of time to develop?
