I saw that but had no idea it was DA who was playing as himself lol
Is that Cam Johnson playing with him also as himself?

I barely see the Nurk hope, AND IT IS PURE HOPE that he is semi healthy. Everything else is redundant and stupid. Allen... we have Gordon off the bench ahead of him, not to mention we have better athletes to play small forward if that is the angle. And lets be real about the prospects of Little and Johnson!! Both have the heavy possibility of being out of the league the second their contracts run out and what the **** did we trade for two guys who are under contract for 4 and 2 more years?!?! You really want to tell me either of these guys is a rotation player above anyone we resigned (Okogie, Lee), or any of the guard/forwards we picked up in free-agency?!?! These two are deep on the bench players on a team that went 33-4 Fu#@%in 9!!! Im usually positive and try to find the brighter side to spin, but this is stupid.

I am doing my best to temper any sort of excitement about Nurkic. He complains about touches, he gets emotional, he makes mistakes on offense. He is at the very least, a more affordable option at center, but he is just so injury prone. I don't know where it's at, but someone on the general board posted a picture of all the injuries Nurkic has had in the last 2-3 years, and... it is a lot. I don't see how that changes as he gets older. His usage rate is similar to Ayton but he has much lower efficiency. He is going to be getting a lot less looks, so the same complaints that people perceive Ayton to have about touches, will still be there for Nurkic IMO.

I am hoping Little makes an impact. He needs to work on his 3, he sways a bit, and that is going to get him off-balanced, which is likely why his 3PT % the last 3 seasons is around 35%. If he stopped leaning towards one side, it would probably be closer to 38%-40%. I like that he drives to the basket. I saw a clip of him taking a step back midrange jumper, and he made it, but it was a wild shot. So I looked up his stats on mid-range jumpers and he is piss-poor from that area shooting 37% the last two seasons. Sure, there isn't much volume but it just is not a good shot for him. His 3PT% from the corner 3 is 38% the last 3 seasons, and that isn't super bad. However, compare that Grayson Allen's entire NBA career (5 seasons) from the corner 3 he is shooting 45%. I could see Little taking minutes from Lee, Okogie, and Bol just because he has higher upside.

I am thrilled about Grayson Allen. He is the exact type of player that Book and KD want to play with. He is one of those players that elevates his game when he plays with stars. He has been very durable the last two season.

I fully expect Nurkic to be the same oft injured guy he has been in Portland so I am not expecting much from him.

The additions of Grayson (ugh) Little and Johnson are IMO more impactful next next season when I fully expect the guys who took minimum deals like Okogie, KBD and possibly even Eubanks to opt out and get better deals elsewhere and we may not be able to nab close to the caliber of players in free agency.

A lot rides I believe on whether we win the championship or come very close to it. If we fail to at least get to the WCF I just don't see players wanting to come here on the minimum unless we guarantee them a lot of playing time.

Ayton fans will never get it. No one really wanted to sign him to the max, no one really wanted to give up any value for him. Truth is a hard pill to swallow I guess.

Then.... you....keep....him.

Giving him away for bum like Nurk and much less paying for the honor is stupid. Something 1 of the haters would do here.

It was a silly move.

The silly move wasn’t trading Ayton. The silly move wasn’t trading Ayton for Nurkic. The silly move was helping the Bucks get Lillard and now probably Clippers, Warriors or Lakers getting Jrue.
How dumb can you be to do that?

Dress it up all you want, we are not better from this talent wise. Probably a plus in the locker room (given the same DA) and a plus in trade/salary land….

Our depth got deeper is all.

Keon Johnson is getting waived. Nurkic is trash and Little is nothing special. So seriously. Who really cares where they are right now?

Or non groupy men who don’t care about below average nba players don’t care. There’s always 9,999 reasons. Don’t be so naive.

Might actually be apt in this case. I've never seen any sort of analytical thought process coming from sunsfan101. Just licking Aytons balls post after post. No breakdowns of players, how they fit into the roster, what the roles are, what the future looks like. Kind of sad but its whatever. I've gotten pretty good at ignoring people like that. Good skill to have.

We got 2 known role players and 1 potential role player for a guy who has played at role player to upper role player level for several seasons now outside of one post season. And given that this trade occurred he probably didn't even want to be here. 3 real guys for 1 guy who didn't want to play here. It could be worse.

If he has as much potential as some people think he does, he wouldn't reach it here as the 4th option. Ayton fans should be glad he gets a chance to prove himself. They can go watch the Blazers now like how they were telling us people who wanted to draft Doncic to watch the Mavs.

And yeah, I am interested to see how he looks on the Blazers. I think he will be better (more motivated).

The problem is posters like him are really just trying to translate the trade 1:1 as if we were ever going to get the same talent back. As you're alluding to it's about "fit".

The funny thing is the Blazers weren't even willing to make the trade with the Suns without it being multi-team. Says everything you need to know.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the look on my trailblazer buddies faces when he pulls his first triple pump fake fade on a 6'5 SG. In all honesty I hope Portland is better for him, he seemed to be entering a bad place mentally in PHX and I wouldn't be shocked if he was using 2k as a way to escape some of his real world basketball/life issues.

Some people don’t even realize the three real guys have 600 career starts incoming versus 300 outgoing. These aren’t just role players. They can help immensely over the course of the season and in the playoffs.
