MPJ having a bad game is bad news for the Clippers. That means he’ll have a real great game in these next games. Pressure is still on the Nuggets to protect homecourt so this series is still 50-50.

Clippers played 9 guys, Lue will rotate other guys in, but in a specific game in the playoffs, without some extenuating factors, not likely going more than 9 guys

Let the tears flow brother. Just don't drown in them. Next game will be worse for LAC. And try to win your series haha

Not really. Harden came up huge in the clutch. Jokic was pretty bad in the clutch and did realistically nothing besides those 2 fts at the end. He missed his 2 fts and 3 to end regulation

So what if he missed some shots? That means he was bad? It's a little more complex than that, and no, no one will say he was clutch in this game, but he was still damn good. 29/9/10 with 3 steals, 1 block and only 2 TOs. Also, +10 in the game. That was a good game from him. Not great, but good. Harden and Zubac also played well, Kawhi, not so much.

And why wasn't be clutch, because they lost?

Harden hit a floater to tie the game in regulation, was the one guarding Westbrook on that last possesion in regulation too(LOL) and hit a transition 3 with 26 seconds to go in OT to cut the lead to 1. He played good defense on that wild Westbrook attempt at the end of the game again(LOLx2) but Gordon got the rebound.

Great game from those 3 and still lost

And Denver really didn't play that well.

Warning signs.

Biggest difference is turnovers. 20 for LAC and 11 for Denver.

Every game tends to take on a brand new identity, but Clippers would be fine if they limit the turnovers.

Vlatko wasn't healthy for most of the season and didn't really crack the rotation since then. he's not seeing a single min of PT in the playoffs and he's not really an NBA caliber player to begin with. a 3rd stringer maybe, but def not on a good team with aspirations.

Nnaji will play. he's strictly a PF, most guys can play some out of position in a pinch but not Nnaji. he's too slow, lacks the handle or the shot to play the 3 and he's too small, weak and just don't have the chops to hang with C's at all. when Kawhi is the opponent's PF, there's really no room for him there

if the Nuggets advance i'll bet we see him play some in the next series

Kawhi had 2-3 TOs alone when double teamed trying to lob it to Ben Simmons. Looks like Simmons didn’t even go up for the ball, i guess he is scared to even attempt a dunk.

I don't know if they should consider playing Eubanks over Simmons but those plays stood out to me in a close game.

Lue neglecting Zu PNR and not playing Zu more… then playing Powell over Batum causes issues

No. Batum should play way more.

Jokic got mauled in this game (as per the norm), with and without the ball. the Nuggets announcers call this type of defense the "hugger-mugger" defense, I think that's pretty spot on

his movement is being impeded on every play by smaller players who get away with murder, grabbing, shoving with both hands and even straight hugging him lol. so, to make his point about his movement being impeded, after numerous uncalled ones - he flopped on this Dunn foul, which is by the way - a foul. with or without the flop. sadly, no flop no call.

Proves my point.Mostly casuals on this site. I voted DEN in 5 and I'll stand by that

National media has had a hard on for the Clippers ever since Kawhi’s arrival. Every time they’re playing well they bust a nut and start proclaiming them favorites

Nah I disagree. It was a demoralizing loss for the Clippers. They were up double digits and had a chance to steal game 1 on the road and couldn't get it done.

Still, looking at the aspects of the game (in this case, turnovers) that contributed to the loss is what teams need to do in a playoff series.

I felt like they used it, it just got locked up(the same with the Jokic/Murray PnR) down the stretch.

Denver switched to a 2-3 Zone around the end. Really forced the team into weird 2-3 NBA 2K freelance stuff(hence the turnovers)

If the Clips lose this series, it's time to close the book on the Claw. He has a good enough supporting cast, no reason for him not to deliver. It's not like LAC needs him anyway. They have been without Leonard almost all the time.
