I was just gonna insult the Pacers.

But then I remembered that they gotta live in Indianapolis. And I felt sorry for them.

Can't bring myself to kick those guys when they're already down in life.

This is the insults thread. Get with the program if you'd like. But don't post and advertise that you don't know what's going on. It just makes you look clueless.

Here is a good example of how to bring it (from a Bulls fan during the last series).

If the Wizards swept the Pacers in four straight 20+ beatdowns, this here thread would look the same. It's not about pride, competition, winning and losing, basketball. We ("we" being the other 49 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Gitmo, etc.) just hate Indiana.

100% True Story --

A long time ago, I had to go to Ft. Ben Harrison, Indiana (Indianapolis) for a month-long work training course. At the time, the Army's accounting and finance people were there and they had decently-sized training conference rooms, etc.

Within the headquarters building was a food outlet run by the AAFES -- the exchange service -- that featured probably the worst food in the world. Horrible. And the food would come out to the public area, at one of the self-service locations, via a motorized wheel with pie-shaped sections in it. It would ride along the stainless steel counter, the back half of the wheel facing the kitchen where drones would put all of the crappy, deep-fried, mystery fat food within the pie-shaped sections. The front half of the wheel would be public-facing, where the locals who worked in the building would happily grab this crappy stuff and scarf it up by the pound.

In our class, this became known as "the wheel of death".

Yeah, Indianapolis is kinda like the wheel of death. Its residents living life as if they were a patron of a soul-less, wheel-shaped machine, spewing out crap that ensures obesity and does nothing else to benefit themselves or society. A city that is pimple on the posterior of our great nation.

Indianapolis -- a great city to be *FROM*. (If you know what I mean).

Thank you doc, for your service. As you noted in your well-thought-out post regarding interboard relations, having a segregated insults and trolling thread (good-natured) would be a good thing. Of course, you already had started, in practice, such a thread. This is it.

Wizards play the Knicks on Tuesday. Back tomorrow to try and do my trolling then. In the interim, Doc feel free to change the thread title if you see this. Or I'll change it to be Knicks-centric tomorrow.

My son was born in Bloomington. I went to school there and I have an uncle who lives there. Indiana's nice.

I was there when Reggie Miller blatantly pushed off of MJ and made a game winner in the playoffs. That was glorious.

WTA, I was at a nice Starbucks in NYC, and really appreciated the competition among drug stores. Every intersection seemed to have a Duane Reade on one side and a CVS on the other. And an authentic Irish bar in between. So cool.
