Jimmer benched 185 fourteen times. *facepalm*

Not impressive, but then again he has a freakishly long wingspan of 7'3" and an even more freakishly huge "man hands." His hands were so huge Andy Katz of ESPN asked him to spread it for the camera during his interview.

To put his wingspan in perspective, Enes Kanter was measured at 7'1.5" ---- and that's for a guy 6'11".

First off, Leonard is not a power forward.

Most people agree he is a good, not great athlete, so not shocked at the vertical. The bench press is a bit of a concern, but from all accounts he has an incredible work ethic so he should be able to gain strength no problem. Again, he is only 19 years old.

Groups workouts is where Leonard will shine. His rebounding and defensive skills don't show up in athletic testing.

To keep it in perspective, Durant didn't even bench 185 once.

Maybe there's some validity to the Jonas Valanciunas crap, hope not. Hopefully CLE takes him. And hey, maybe he'd work there.

I did get the feeling BC didn't like Walker. Calling him a combo guard when he's 6'0" and questioning whether or not he can start isn't complimentary. Unfortunately I don't think he'd have a choice but to take him if Kanter and Knight are off the board. Whether's he's decent or completely awful, he fits the bill as an easy sell.

He likes Leonard, who I don't know how to feel about now. If his physical profile is off the charts, his athletic measurements are underlined. I question if these particular tests are meaningful, though. But he should still be measuring better if he's to go at #5 in the draft.

Thank you Rhettmatic for the recap. Been out the whole day and I can't find any links to the interview.

Doesn't BC always pull this **** where he doesn't say a lot about the player he really wants? I remember in the 2009 draft when it was obvious he wanted DeMar but hyped up his backup picks instead like JJ, Jrue Holiday, and Gerald Henderson. Even in the 2006 draft the whole world knew he was going to take Bargnani but he spent more time talking about Aldridge and Gay.

In this case I see Knight is at the top of his draft board with Jonas and Kawhi as his backups.

I thought Leonard looked really good at the combine. His sprint especially. I wasn't even thinking about him at all for our pick he just really stood out.
The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.
The bad thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.

From that, I think our realistic draft board is:

(1) Knight
(2) Val
(3) Walker
(4) Vesely/Biyombo......sounded like afterthoughts in the interview.

This interview pretty much confirms the reports.
Basically BC sees Irving and Williams going 1-2 like everyone else.
And the Cavs getting Kanter or Val at 4. So basically Utah will make the pick for us depending on who they take at 3. If it's not Knight, then he is our guy, if he is gone we are probably going big with wh's left from Kanter and Val.

I doubt he would call our future pick a potential carrer backup and comboguard like he did Kemba.
Also doubt he will label his pick a combo 3/4 or redundant with Ed.
BTW notice how after saying Bargs should go back to his natural PF position he talks about 4s being redundant with Ed and not with Ed and Bargs, this add to idea that he was selling him playing the 4 spot elsewhere like we assumed (just trying to read between the lines, don't shoot lol).

Thanks for the recap
Ajinca fits the Raptors' mold as a skilled player from Europe, but has never shown any signs of succeeding at the NBA level

Ya I'm guessing the same thing right now. As much as people have been bashing Valanciunas he's in no way shape or form like Bargs. I'd see him as an Omer Asik type player. A guy who plays tough, bangs and play good defense in the post. He'd be a nice consolation pick if Knight is off the board. Even though I have a Kemba sig I wouldn't have problems if we pick Knight or Val.

Not sure if this is a big surprise. He "looks" very athletic, but in actuality, he isn't, at least not in the Gerald Wallace mold. We touched on this a few times I think in his DX profile.

Lol 1st Iam saying that from this interview it seems that Kemba and Vesely are not high on BC's wishlist and then I add an offtopic tibdit about Bargs may be on the way out.

Seems that in most of BC's recent interview he is talking about Ed as our PF / future PF even though he insisted in the final press conference that Bargs is a 4 and should be playing the position. People suggested that it was his way of telling other GMs that Bargs would flourish as a PF, and they could very well be right. Hope I am not confusing you even more.
