Sure, but in today's NBA they get Chris Paul + Griffin together, the profit was immediately there the moment that trade was made.
I'm not arguing against Sterling as a terrible owner. But it took him a long time to profit and really they got lucky that the Lakers couldn't finish their officially agreed upon CP3 trade.

Going back to one of our favorite subjects, the Clips should have called the Bucks last June and proposed Bledsoe and Caron for Redick, Moute and Udoh. Clips need defense and interior defense much more than they needed that extra offensive toy in Dudley. Of course maybe they did make that call and we laughed them off the phone.
I have no faith in the Clips maintaining excellence. The owner will mess it up.
