Maybe. Talk about not letting go.

Seemed like a reasonable guy when I met him. Went a touch psycho.

Donald Sterling tried to rescind the Eric Bledsoe, Carob Butler - J.J. Redick & Jared Dudley deal.

Doc Rivers may've considered stepping down over that(wow?), after meeting w/ Redick to sell him.

Sterling has been an embarrassment to the league for ages. I've been amazed that the Clippers have managed to improve to the degree they have with him at the helm. He was paying his GM $64k relatively recently. I frequently use his abject failure as an owner, coupled with the increase in value of his franchise (from ~$10.0M to $1B) to show how difficult it is to lose money as an owner.

But they're in the Los Angeles market, landed Blake Griffin and lucked out when the league vetoed the Chris Paul to Lakers trade.

I don't like to admit this, but I was able to tell it was Nate Rob solely because of the jumpshot...I am not proud of that.

They have made it out of the first round of the playoffs twice in 32 years, only made the playoffs in 6/32 seasons, have NEVER been a top 3 seed, and had multiple embarrassing lawsuits against Sterling.

Sure, but in today's NBA they get Chris Paul + Griffin together, the profit was immediately there the moment that trade was made.

I'm not arguing against Sterling as a terrible owner. But it took him a long time to profit and really they got lucky that the Lakers couldn't finish their officially agreed upon CP3 trade.

In a sense, the Clippers are like what the Bucks under Herb Kohl might be like should we have won a big lottery prize.

Going back to one of our favorite subjects, the Clips should have called the Bucks last June and proposed Bledsoe and Caron for Redick, Moute and Udoh. Clips need defense and interior defense much more than they needed that extra offensive toy in Dudley. Of course maybe they did make that call and we laughed them off the phone.

I have no faith in the Clips maintaining excellence. The owner will mess it up.

The Clippers are only really good because they had Chris Paul gifted to them by the league. They are a borderline playoff team without him.

In what world is a trade without the owner's "officially agreed upon"? Its why we are talking about the Clippers in the first place. Because the owner almost pulled the plug.

Cuban just got his first look at Monta and Dalembert?

Signing Monta is a fireable offense. We already knew that...

If our owner was a gremlin he would have fired our gm after trading for Monta and Dalembert as well.

Yep. I don't understand what they are doing.

Every championship team has a premier wing defender and a post defender. Clippers have nobody close to that at all. The fact they signed Jamison shows how clueless they are. They'll never get to the finals without those two elements. The Celtics never were able to replicate what Posey & PJ Brown brought to their team and they didn't win another championship without them.

Sterling should have turned the Bledsoe deal down. Just done the redick trade with us for two seconds and keep Bledsoe.

Then lose him for nothing after this year so he could play him 18 min a night? Makes no sense.

Collison, Redick, Dudley > Bledsoe, Redick, Butler
