That Mavs team will be fun to watch. Dirk-Monta-Parsons, nice, could easily be a 60 PPG trio, tough matchup.

The PG position will be a challenge for Carlisle, but I'm sure he gets this team running on all cylinders.
I've come to the conclusion that most folks don't really care that you broke one of the rules... they just enjoy telling you that you broke it.

Chandlers 15 mil comes off the book next year. Watch them pick up a top center and Cuban email Morey.

This is what your team would have looked like with a stretch 4.

Mavs now have a quality SF that can space the floor, oh the nightmare guarding harris and ellis, the spurs cant overhelp now or parsons (known as a spurs killer) will make em pay

If dirk can have one last vintage season, watch out haha
Stay classy fellow spurs fans

Jordan? Gasol? who else is out there? Seems you guys would have a hell of a time trying to pry them from their teams, not to mention you have to bring back Ellis.

What a disastrous off season for Houston.

Overrated?? You serious?? Parsons is easily one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He's only 25 and is only going to get better. He already had perennial all-star written all over him and now he can learn from one of the best head coaches in the game. He's going to flourish under Carlisle.

Parsons is a poor shot creator, weak finisher, and routinely gets cooked on defense by bigger more athletic wings. He is overrated because he does not have the tools to be anything more than role player on a championship team and yet he is getting 46 million.

You don't think any of that will improve under Carlisle? Nobody is saying that he isn't overpaid, right now. We all agree on that. But in no way is he just some glorified role player that you make him out to be. He's young and still has tons of potential and room to grow next to Dirk & under Carlisle. You talk as if he's reached his potential and will never get any better. It's quite the opposite.

He hasn't. But coaching is not some magic wand that turns a weak, slow footed, jump shooter into Paul George. Morey knows this and probably believed that Ariza can replace Parsons' impact on the floor for a fraction of the price. You lose some offensive versatility but get better defensively. Good move.

The overpay is bad, but the reason Morey is catching hell is they had him under contract for about $1.5 million and declined the option to make him restricted and to match the deal. How he did not know the market was going to be crazy with all the cap space is beyond me.

Have you been asleep? Everybody, including Mavs fans, are saying he's overpaid. But that's why Dirk gave Dallas a huge discount. So they can pay more to get talented guys next to him. Some people seem to forget that.

I agree, I don't think the mavs will. It'll most likely be chandler on a smaller deal. I could just see him doing that in the event they did sign a top big based on their past relations.

More accurately, Morey turned Ariza, Lin, Asik, and Parsons back into non-contract-year Ariza at Lin prices. And rights to some random Laker scrub.

Nobody wins a trade against the lakers :D

And the funny thing is that Parsons and Asik are in the same division.

Yea but Mavs lost all their depth they replaced Marion/Carter with Parsons, swapped Calderon for Felton, and Dalmbert & Chandler are about equal except Dalembert can stay healthy.

Gotta be the toughest division in the NBA, Spurs still on top, but I can see Dallas finishing at the bottom of the division if Pelicans stay healthy.

Houston just lost 3 of their top 5 players.

Dallas upgraded at C and SF. Harris who'll get more minutes is actually an upgrade at PG. They need some depth though.

Still have Howard, Harden & Jones(all top 5 players) from last year... Asik barely played was hurt than took forever to get into game shape. Nick Johnson looks like the real deal, maybe able to step in right away and Daniels should get signed back who will be like a completely new signing.

Some statements are so ridiculous they should result in a timeout, so the poster can sit in a corner and think about what he wrote.
