22-26 with KP
6-27 (soon to be 28) without him.
He's the reason we are not in the bottom 5. Dotson won the Miami game. Two other wins have come against Chicago and Orlando which could barely beat a G league team.
If KP is healthy, he and Frank, Kornet, Hicks, and Dotson don't go 6-27.
Philly doesn't win just 10 games in 2015-16 if Embiid is playing regardless if the others around him are vets or not. We could never tank as long as KP was healthy. We have the 3rd worst record in the NBA since he went down. Seems like we did a decent job losing.
Sans KP are you saying that with all the vets Jeff plays we don’t win more than 10 games?
PHI took their lumps for 82 games and let the kids develop.
Let’s see what the organization does next year being in a similar situation.
Phoenix has 20 wins, the least amount in the league. Without KP we will be 6-28, a 15 win pace. I have no idea how we would do over an entire season without KP but we would EASILY be top 3, probably worse than that.
Philly's two best players weren't even playing during those 82 games. The only reason they are in the position they are in is because of Simmons and Embiid. One they got because he was injured in college, the other they got because Embiid was hurt for two years. Saric played 26 minutes a game as a rookie at age 23. Frank plays 22 minutes per game at 19. What "kids" do we have that haven't been playing? Dotson? The one that counts has played.
Next year we are going to lose a ton without KP but he's going to be back so I doubt we are a top 3 bottom team.
I love KP but it took more than losing him to cause this late season slide. Do you think we'd be that same 22-26 if we didn't have Frank taking in more lumps, experimented with different lineups, or have a tank commander like Mudiay at the helm. As much as I dislike them Kanter, and THjr contributed way more to team success than your typical "lets take a flyer on" minimum vet.
