What a night! Now we are the only team left to help teams with salary cap reliefs I guess. Until Vlade offers Marcus Smart 4/80.

Yep, if they didn’t trade butler for him and he was an RFA they wouldn’t have thrown that money at him. Vlade going scorched earth

If Vlade and Vivek want to harm other team's cap space in the future, I'd prefer they send a $20M/yr offer sheet Marcus Smart's way.

See Loul Deng.
Exactly.
Injury Prone? Yes. Even worse because he relies on his athleticism.
Inefficient? Yes. I'll give this one a pass cause he is young and could improve.
If by year 2 he doesn't show major improvement, he'll be dead weight holding up their cap space.

Two idiotic teams fighting for a krispy kreme donut. A year from now the Bulls are going to be calling offering a Ibaka swap.
Remember when’ is the lowest form of conversation.

Pat Riley sees your Ibaka contract, and he raises you the Tyler Johnson contract.
They're paying this guy $20 million per year over the next two seasons:

maybe not but coming back from a major injury is never a sure thing.
Can someone explain how this was a chess move by Vlade? What benefits them to make the offer just to have the Bulls match a huge contract and risk being stuck with a player they didnt want? Pretty sure they wanted him its not that complicated. Just dont understand why. Why would you risk everything for a guy that didnt look back from the knee injury last year.
