Guys, i know i don't post here regularly.
I don't get the time to do it as much as i would like, but i do read this forum regularly.
But here is my thought about all of this AD trade talk.
I think Danny will not give up all the assets we have for Davis, it's just not his style. I bet that he will definitely try to keep some of them out of the game. And he knows that the Pels don't want to become the rebuilding Lakers. (I mean, it is in their abbreviation NO LA, lol)
Davis is gonna be here after Kyrie signs that contract in Free Agency.
And here is what i think the trade is gonna be.
Brown, Horford (After he opts in, which he definitely will do), Sac, Clippers pick, Cs 2019-2021 and i believe he will throw in some second rounders in there as well.
I believe that his goal is not to go all in on Davis, because he too knows that if he goes all in he might lose everything in the end (Kyrie get's injured again, or Davis misses time in the playoffs and the team is screwed).
I think his goal is to keep Tatum (This team needs a player they drafted to become a star, a homegrown one is something you need on the team. Because realistically looking, Boston always had at least one homegrown star on their championship teams, it's been like that for over 60 years)
Overall i feel Ainge wants to put out a team of Irving, Hayward, Tatum, Davis, Filler (I think he wants to keep Rob Williams as well because that kid is gonna be special) with Smart coming of the bench (Or Gordon)
That is 4 potential all stars (2 Superstars, 2 All Star Players) if Tatum develops (He will, the kid is special. The sky is the limit for him, even if some of you don't think so) and if Hayward get's back to his old self. Now, even if he doesn't. They just need him to be back to good starter level to compete, which i believe Gordon will get back to. (15/5/5 is what i believe he will get back to worst case scenario)
Now for the Memphis pick i believe Danny is gonna try to hold onto that pick (I personally think that pick is pure gold) along with Tatum and Williams. Because i believe that even if Ainge goes for Davis, he just doesn't look at the next 5 years. I think he might be looking for even more insurance in case Kyrie or someone get's injured. And always keeping your options open is what Ainge has done since 2013.
But whatever happens, i believe we are getting AD.
