If they want people to go back to work they need to mandate that all people in public spaces / work spaces wear masks. They have time to ramp up production of masks on a massive level using DPA, and showing a FDA/CDC approved mask people can make at home. Obviously healthcare providers should get the N95 & surgical masks, but to stop the spread in the general public people should be following the example set in Asia where even cloth masks are worn. This isn't about protecting yourself as much as it is stopping people spreading it.

Since there's no test yet to see who has had the virus and is immune, the best way to stop people from being asymptomatic carriers is to mask up the entire public. If Trump wants people to go back to work, that is the way to do it, and realistically the only way to live with the virus until there's a vaccine.

Obviously plenty of different charities you can donate to, but cool to see a player who fell on hard times turn his life around and do something good.

The list of essential places to remain open in my state is weird- literally harder to find places that aren’t deemed essential than those that are. I’m not joking and I’m seriously want to be educated here but how is “bicycle repair shop” an essential place of business ?

Is Amazon essential? I feel sorry for my former coworkers working in that dirty, stinky warehouse!

They all have to work close range with each other with no masks on!

I should know I worked there for 3 years!

any other examples? bicycle shops are open so people can use bikes as forms of exercise with social distancing as well as transportation.

We actually picked up some Ikea furniture for my kids today! They do have a good process for customers. You don't to closely interact with anyone. Order online, and take your pre-picked cart.

Granted, who knows if it's safe for employees

There are several ways to get exercise beyond a bicycle. Walking and running for starters- not to mention most big retail stores are open and sell bicycles And parts to fix. essential should mean that if this store isn’t open there are no other means or services to do what they do.

I had a scheduled delivery of a treadmill and elliptical for tomorrow- which was moved to today because of non essential shutdown effective 8pm this evening. I got a call this afternoon and they told me they’ll be there tomorrow as they have found a loophole that will keep them open.

Stores and the people who make the determination of what’s essential and what isn’t are really being lenient

Funny, I'm waiting on the delivery of a used precor EFX elliptical myself. Supposedly it's still coming (I ordered it before the insanity)

Boris Johnson wants to talk to you about exercise
UK - full lockdown
A very simple instruction: you must stay at home

Because the critical thing we must do is stop the disease spreading between households. That is why people will only be allowed to leave their home for the following very limited purposes:

shopping for basic necessities, as infrequently as possible;

one form of exercise a day – for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household;

any medical need, to provide care or to help a vulnerable person; and

travelling to and from work, but only where this is absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home.

That’s all – these are the only reasons you should leave your home. You should not be meeting friends. If your friends ask you to meet, you should say no.

“If you don’t follow the rules the police will have the powers to enforce them, including through fines and dispersing gatherings.”

Honestly, it's probably better for overall safety to have amazon and other online ordering remain open in lieu of stores. People are going to need "stuff" and it seems like it's much easier to control warehouse and delivery conditions as opposed to random interactions at stores all over the place.

That being said - there probably needs to be some oversight based on some awful stories I've already seen about conditions at Amazon, UPS, fedex, etc facilities.

That medication can be helpful under very CLOSE medical supervision. My sister in law takes it for lupus. The difference between a therapeutic and lethal dose is very small and it's very stupid to try and self medicate with it.

They probably still want to only test people that have visited China down here in Florida. The virus is already here, they just don't want to test.
