The hate is not because he's a great player but because he's a diva, he's always "calculated" and unnatural and pretends too much... He's not likeable. Tries to look like a smart ass and like a leader but is a crybaby.

To me he is very likable.

And that is really ok. Everyone can have a different opinion.

Duh.

You think an average player like Paul George has haters?

By your argument Kevin Durant must be better than LeBron then.

1) KD is among the best players of his generation. On another tier than PG.
2) Lebron has gotten way more hate over the course of his career

I share your opinion of KD. That he is or was so good was rather the problem with his super team move, particularly for Lebron fans.

It's Lebron overload. He's in every Finals and he's all the media talks about. Greatness and overexposure over a long period of time is usually frowned upon by a large segment of fans. It was the same exact thing with Jordan by the late 90s and with Kobe in the early to mid 2000s. Fans who are not fans of the teams those guys are on get sick of hearing about them and seeing them win all the time.

Just like with Jordan and Kobe, fans will start to appreciate Lebron when he's on his last legs and even moreso the years following his retirement.

I work tomorrow and the weekend, so that ain't possible. Does this mean you can get his autograph for me through your "personal" connections?

Call in sick; that is the only option for you.

You gotta work around Dr. Phil's schedule. Get with the damn program.

God you're a clown. Go back to your social media glee club, little boy.

Eh people get too caught up in who he is as a person. Just focus on the basketball. He has had an amazing career.

Because he thinks he's the GOAT, and he's not close. He called himself the GOAT, which is illegitimate.

Even Lebron’s biggest haters would acknowledge that he’s arguably top 3 to ever play the game. The hate has nothing to do with what he does on the court. It has everything to do with what he does in every facet off the court.

I’m so many words, he is insufferable as a person. Compared to other professional star athletes it’s not even close. I’m not even a LeBron “hater”, but it’s pretty obvious how and why someone could easily hate him and his smug level of self importance.

He could be the best player of all time and a huge douche bag. Both can be true.

Jordan was also a douche tho, in some ways a much worse person in many ways yet he gets far less hate.

I’d also say the difference is that Jordan didn’t pretend to be the arbiter of truth for issues outside of basketball. He also stayed with the same team his whole career and cared ONLY about winning. Can’t say the same for LeBron. Those things are big against him.

Self proclaimed GOAT who has always needed help from top players to achieve anything

Always runs away and forms a new collusion when things get too tough...loves the easy path...has no fight or killer instinct

Could have a better finals record if he played for the team and not himself.

Learned the art of stat padding but goes missing when it matters.

And let's take a moment to appreciate all the fmvp he has handed to direct opponents...including a 22 year old role player lol

Fans are weird virgin types with low ball iq and questionable integrity in life

Could honestly go on for a while...but cbf

So, the question is, what bothers people so much about this player to feel the need to attack him at every opportunity?

Because he has never broken the law, is squeaky clean, never has been in controversy. The people who hate him are mad Lebron has never done anything wrong.

Its also insane to them that Lebron is so good that they have to find satisfaction in hating him. Its a superior complex, its like they feel smarter in doing so yet they come across like a flat earther.

The fact they need to come up with excuse after excuse to discredit him shows that he is the GOAT. He literally gives humans depression just because he's good at a sport. Its incredible to witness.

It's the same reason I don't like KD. These guys aren't fierce competitors.

I hate this logic. With the benefit of hindsight we now know that the Cavs did an all time terrible job at putting a team around him. He was eliminated twice by the original modern era super team and when a GM couldn't do it, he decided to do it himself.

People can see him leaving Miami as 'jumping ship', but we also know he cares about his image, and the only way to rehab that was to come back to Cleveland. With his relationship with Gilbert, that was never going to last forever.

Kyrie and Love were overrated before LeBron, and AD was generally an after thought. Davis never really quite lived up to his hype. The rest of the Lakers are just role players.

He teamed up with Wade and Bosh - but think about it - if we compare LeBron to Pierce, which combo is better: Allen/Garnett or Wade/Bosh. Pretty even IMO. So here is what bothers people:

That he left - stupid because the other players he's compared to were never in this bad of a situation with their original team (at least before winning a title)

Teaming up with Wade and Bosh - again, stupid. Wade and Bosh never won MVPs and while Wade won a title before, he had Shaq. People are mad that he did this because of who he is compared to, but see my point above.

His personality - also stupid because no other athlete this popular had the social media era to deal with. Imagine if what happened with Kobe in Colorado happened today, after the me too movement. YIKES. Also, Jordan had similar things, we just didn't know all about them.

The decision - was bad and he earned the dislike from it.

The other aspects of his personality that people don't like - the passive aggressiveness, "narcissistic", etc. - are things people see because they already dislike him. I HATED LeBron for leaving Cleveland. When they lost to Dallas it was incredible. But I never once thought be was narcissistic, and his personality never bothered me. The only thing that bothered me was that he left, and the decision. After time had passed, it was clear that he had to leave so that didn't bother me anymore.

Lebron is the only superstar athlete that has never been in any controversy. Ever. How the hell is he a douche yet has the most clean record of any athlete?

You do know what Kobe and Jordan have done right? How the hell is Bron an insufferable douche? My God you people are hilarious.

Switching teams once was fine. Miami had elite management and could have built another winner around him after Wade/Bosh retired (as we are literally seeing right now). But he switched teams 2 more times after that.

We're we though? Neither Wade nor Bosh were having much success on their own, and LeBron and the Cavs got bounced by that team from Boston with three hall of famers. I guess that would be.....the original modern era super team and the main reason LeBron joined up with Wade. Hmm. Interesting.

He switched to 2 loser teams that had horrible records before he showed up.

He turn Cleveland into a champion second year.

Now he's about to turn the sorry Lakers into champions second year.

Switching teams and winning so quickly is legendary. He did this all by carrying scrubs his entire careers. Absolutely legendary. Staying with the same team is moronic.

Wade won a championship already on his own. I would have loved to have seen those teams to be built around those guys and seen some great conference rivalries between the three (with Rose as a 4th prior to his injuries).

Boston was a superteam for sure, but those guys were all approaching the end of their careers and it didn't feel like it disrupted the art of competition in the same way.
