I dunno. I think over time Butler 2020 will become semi-legendary, in 2001 AI fashion. An example of a guy willing a mediocre team to the brink.

Of course that is assuming the Heat lose the series. If they win, Butler 2020 will have no "semi" about it, it will be pure LEGEND.

Let’s not forget Jimmy is in his prime and Lebron is far past his prime.

"Past his prime" implies a decline in his game and I don't see any decline in his game. So is LBJ really "past his prime?" Unfortunately, right now I would say no, LBJ is not past his prime.

Yeah I wouldn't say that LeBron is past his prime. He's pretty much still in the heart of it. He's not as athletic as 5 years ago but his vision is even better than in the past. He easily recorded his highest assist numbers this year. And he's more clutch too.

Probably depends somewhat on how the bubble is seen in the future. I could see it either being somewhat discounted or getting special interest due to how weird it will be looking back on. I hope its the latter, because Jimmies performance is truly historic for anyone, let alone a guy people saw as more of a B tier star than a top 5 player.

If he wins there is obviously no way he wont be an instantaneous legend.

Jimmy is playing like one of the all time greats there. Carrying fairly young team against James and Davis while many expected them to be swept.

Kind of tired to be rooting for random teams in the finals but at least this time there's Jimmy.

So, Jimmy is clearly the frontrunner in the GOAT conversation now, right?!

What makes this Heat win so significant, is we dont know how bad AD is actually hurt. If he is limited, this is going to be a dog fight to the very end.

Such a pleasure watching Jimmy play. When somebody just gets after it like that you can only shake your head. So rare to find somebody with that mindset. That competitive mindset. Jimmy separating himself and getting to that next level of superstar right before our eyes. Be nice to have a player like that on the Bulls.

saw the last play, Russillo mentioned this in the past but the Morris twins are tough until the moment there is pressure and then they become scarred kittens.

The Butler did it again. Seriously, congrats to Jimmy for an amazing game. Battling against Lebron was such a joy to watch. He will always be a Bull to me so I am happy for him.

Two triple doubles in the same finals. I'm not sure anybody besides he and LeBron have done that in the 3 point era.

Ive said it a few games ago that the amazing thing is that Jimmy is going complete toe to toe with Lebron. To the point that they are cancelling each other out. That is amazing when you think of it.

And tonight Lebron had one of his best games in his career in the finals and it still wasnt enough. I mean he was unstoppable going to the hole and he hit 6 3s.

This is one of the most over matched talent finals in a long time yet here we are.

People thought I was nuts but I thought Bulls in 2017 would have beaten the Cavs. We were 4-0 against them. We had Jimmy, Rondo and Wade but Rondo got injured.

I always remember the Yankees in 2001 when I was living in NYC pulling for them to win the WS. The attack on the Twin Towers and Yankees up 3-2 and they lose in game 7 in the bottom of the 9th from there ace. This tells me that although what happened to Kobe was tragic nothing is set up or rig in sports. It can't be right?

Read on Twitter

Lebron cant win here. Of all the times where he should have shot it but passed instead, I feel this was actually the time to pass it. But he did drive into like 5 players so maybe he had it in his mind the whole time to pass.

I know he was feeling it and probably could have did an MJ or Kobe over the team and won, but thats not his nature. That was the right play to Danny Green but others still feel otherwise.

I don’t know about all that. Regular season doesn’t mean much

But Pau/Jimmy/Rose/Noah could have definitely won vs the cavs had Noah not missed that offensive rebound

They would of been up 3-1

I still can’t sleep over that

I know for a fact Jimmy is MJ's son, there is no other explanation.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Not sure if he could have done the same in the finals and if it would have meant a win for the Heat - but it would have given them another creator. Plus it also then makes Herro option number 3/4 rather than 2/3.

Yeah I don't understand this minimization of Dragic. The guy is absolutely massive for them and his ballhandling and experience would be absolutely key on a team relying on two flaky rookies right now at the 1/2. Even if he's not putting up some 30 point performances he'd be making a huge difference, easily one that would have closed the gap IMO.

Dragic and Adebayo available for every game this series and I really think it's a possible Miami win. I don't think the Lakers are anywhere near the juggernaut people think. It's just that this is a relatively weak, transitional year for the league where a lot of the other favorites got weakened, injured, or Doc Riversed.

Except he was an All Star two years ago, and has made All NBA before, which is much more prestigious than an All Star appearance.

I get that he’s not in his prime, but I’m with you guys - Dragic is still a baller, and big difference maker.
