I’m betting some of our guys are on board with not starting so fast.

Nah! They should start on dec. Teams not included in the bubble, would have almost a year of not playing competitive ball. and also some teams who lost in yhr bubble are most certainly itching for some pay back, including us. Plus they are playing on regular arenas, with regular fans. That would make a lot of difference. If Hayward and Kemba still ain’t right and healthy come december, then that would be a major red flag. Anyways i do hope they come into a compromise. If not Dec 22, then late dec or first week of Jan would be fine as well. Lets see who truly runs the nba. Lebron and the players, or the owners

I don't care about those other teams. We will be seeking revenge whether it starts in Dec or Jan. Health is what I want and care about. I'm not even saying they won't be ready and healthy, but more time to get rested and fit is better IMO. They aren't starting the season fast because of any of the reasons you mentioned tho, it's all about money.

What health are you talking about? They have 3 months to recover. Hayward’s ankle should have recovered by now already, and they still have 2 more months to go. Kemba’s knee would still be a problem moving forward, whether they start on dec or jan. Remember he had 4 months to recover before the bubble, and his knee still bothered him after. So i think that knee would be a chronic problem for him moving forward. I think too much rest won’t do him any good as well. Like what you said, it doesn’t matter what we both want, it’s for the league to decide, and “money” will be the deciding factor. I hope they start on dec or early jan the latest.

The Dec 22 proposal makes so much more sense financially for both the league and the players. The reality is that the NBAPA is dominated by highly compensated older players like Chris Paul and LeBron James. C'mon man, a third of the league hasn't played in 7 months.

Exactly. -- And this is going to cut into their pay, either way.

At this rate, it's time to question if a lockout is coming.

It's coming. No way the players trust that the owners are gonna give their fair share back in regards to loss revenue.

Haven't played since mid-March: CLE, ATL, DET, NYK, CHI, CHA, GSW, MIN
Haven't played since mid-August: NOP, SAC, SAS, PHO, MEM, WAS
Haven't played since early September: PHI, POR, DAL, OKC, UTA, IND, ORL, BKN

So 22 teams would have had at least 7 months rest since NBA was suspended in March.

**** the other 8 teams including my Celtics. Let's get the season started already! lol

Most of those teams don't put out an entertaining product anyway! All those players got paid something, millions of people in the country have been out of work just as long and many of them without pay. I don't know if it's still true, but dont the players that make the lowest NBA contract per year make more than the highest paid WNBA player per year? It's sad that they will not make as much as they could have, I believe players deserve every dime they can get, but struggling like the rest of the country is hard to feel too bad about (in comparison). No one should be struggling anyway, but... never mind let me shut up. FDT
