6MOY

5-12 for 13 points and 5-17 for 14 points against Orlando and Brooklyn, respectively. That was two games out of five. Sixth men of the year candidates have to be consistent, and they have to do it for more than 5 games. Stop with the nonsense. Let him prove his worth over the course of a season.

BB is not being a hater, he is being a realist.

His entire point is its a long season, you dont crown 6MOY in the first 5 games.

Look.... Fans are gonna Fan.....so I think BB's advice is falling on def ears.......but BB is taking that Pat Riley approach, don't tell me...show me.....

BB aint hating I am sure he is cheering on every bucket right along with the rest of us.

I think the kid had a sophomore slump. We kept hearing about how he worked on his game and is aiming for the 6th Man Award and I believe it.

Seems like some of us have more faith in him than Heat diehards.

Being pragmatic doesn't mean running to police every Heat fan comment. Especially when the claim isn't ridiculous. Herro's establishing himself in the 6 MOY argument.... easily.

There should be a minutes cap to qualify for the 6th MOY award, you're not really a 6th man playing 30 mpg.
But yeah he's got it locked, barring injuries.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

With less than 10 games into the season (as of 10/30/21) we’re ready to assign/rate/debate DPOY, AS, 6MOY, DPOY, etc.

I’m just going to enjoy this team and nba basketball and revisit this after the all star break.

How will he fair this upcoming season? As of 10/30/21, he’s played very well, very consistent.

Wow, look at your own use of tense and tell me I'm wrong. EstablishING, not establishED. Even you're offering a qualifier. Some people aren't even doing that, though. They're declaring him a superstar in the first two weeks of the season.

And I'm not a hater. I'm a day 1 Heat fan! No fan wants to see the kid be great more than me. I've just been around long enough to know that it takes more than 5 or 6 games to be great...

To me praising a player who is playing very well, from a team you root for, is the sports thing to do, the whole idea of being a sports fan. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is each moment of team success that keeps so many of us excited hoping we are the last team standing.

We do it one game at a time, good or bad right?

I say enjoy each of your favorite team’s victory, and each time a player you root for excels. We all know that for most of us the final score on that one final game will end in disappointment, yet we still root and proclaim each game it is played.

Heck yeah, right at this moment I feel Tyler Herro is one of the top candidates for 6 man of the year. I’ll say this out loud because it is my day. Sure it can change tomorrow, but so far so good.

You're also offering a qualifier - right at this moment. I agree with your sentiment. We should be enjoying the moment and worry about things like 6th man much later on. Let his game speak for itself.

This newfangled concept of "sample size" is a specious social construct that simply doesn't exist in objective reality. Herro has more than proven beyond any remotely reasonable doubt that he's the inevitable 6MOY and MIP and future 1st ballot HOF and indeed the Baby Goat

i guess heat fans were right about him. all he needed was one real off-season. i'm glad he looks good because he showed some mad potential in the playoffs.
actually that's what the whole team needed because they didn't have a break at all after the bubble. i'm looking forward to seeing this heat team make a run for it all again. that 2020 team was damn fun to watch.

They're gonna need a Herro sub named after him in Miami if he keeps this up. Just you wait!

But seriously it's nice to see him doing very well. Bringing in Kyle Lowry to run the starting lineup per Butler's request has been working out nicely. Yes it was gonna take some time for the team to gel considering how many new faces came to Miami, but it's been working out very well so far. Tyler may eventually cool off somewhat, but if he can stay consistent and be that 3 level scorer(3pt, mid-range and finishing layups) while developing more tricks in his bag it's only gonna look better for the Heat.

Getting that off-season rest was badly needed.

more of usage he already was a good player in yr 1.
would like to see him take 20 shots when jordan clarkson is taking all the shots he wants. miami bench sucks.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.
