Crazy how much Embiid bails this team out.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

He played off the bench for Charlotte

It's just such an easy thing to train yourself to do. Don't reach across the body of a slick driver, you'll foul him 10 x's for every time you strip him. Just stay in front as much as you can and make him take a hard angle on his finish, McDaniels looks great at doing that but keeps reaching in and being shocked at the foul calls.

Hopefully our coaching staff will drill him about it other than that I like what I see so far. He's probably too light to defend in the paint so he's going to have to be more disciplined on the perimeter.

How to hold leads against good teams:
-Offense: run your best sets and try to get space/open guys the easiest ways you can, limit the chaos the other team can cause while still playing to your strengths
-Defense: don't foul/don't gift 80%+ FT shooters points

How we hold leads against good teams:
-Offense: improvise, lean heavily on isos (that the other team's chaotic energy can feast on)
-Defense: foul like crazy by matching the other team's chippiness but without their intensity/focus

Probably main reason a less skilled Giannis has the edge as far as better player ranking.

This trend of blowing big leads is troubling

He also demands the ball even while being doubled and forced shots.
