Happy with the hire.

Would have been holappy with any of darko, kenny, sergio and jordi.

This guys a really good developmental coach. Hes the one that developed guys like bane by working closely with him and also empowering him with more on ball reps.

He's also been given a lot of credit for the "swagger " Memphis have. Its a word he uses a lot.

I haven’t even heard of this guy.

This is probably the best move Masai has made in 2 years

You also probably never heard of Nick before he became Head Coach and led us to a title his first yr as a head coach.

Have some patience. I think Darko will be great for us

Poeltl is unplayable in big games. I would still sign him but he is not needed in a closing lineup.

Darko helped JJJ to become a DPOY so I think he can help KAT.

Jakob, KAT Barnes OG ( PG?)

I kinda like it. Pascal is better but KAT can shoot. This team needs shooting. Perhaps I'm being naive assuming he would buy in defensively. Pacal and Rudy doesn't seem like a great fit though.

It seems like he will have to work with Masai's **** expiriements of long and athletic players and possibly be the fall guy.

I wonder whats his relationship like with the joker as a fellow serbian.

How would he be the fall guy if he was just hired? That makes no sense,

And the team about to win the chip has a clear size advantage over their opponent which is part of the reason why they're about to win the chip

Masai did well here.

We got our young coach for the future who has been in coaching since 16 years old. Has a proven track record of player development from everywhere he went. OKC/PHX/GRIZZ all benefitted and made big jumps during his time there. His movement and understanding of the pick n roll is impressive and that's something this team desperately needs in a big overhaul of both our offensen and defense

A development coach is exactly what this team needed. I hope it also hints at our team building direction moving forward.

An inspirational leader who specializes in player development. This is what I thought Sarunas Jasikevicius could have been for us. Except, Darko already has NBA experience as a coach. This could work out very nicely.

Not sure exactly what Blake's suggesting here. But Fred's gone anyway.

edit: Hmm, they're all Philly bands.

Philly bands eh. You really deep dived into that one. Thanks for interpreting that. :D

Pascal for KAT is a downgrade in production, but KAT is a better fit. I'd rather trade Siakam for a package of picks + prospects than take that gamble though.

Now the easy part is done.

Time to surround Darko with actual talent to develop. He ain't turning Flynn/Banton into actual NBA players lol.

Let's got Scoot and Simons and we'll be cooking babyyyyy.

Solid evaluating.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Their second best player is a 6'4" guard who doesn't play a lick of defence.

Denver has size, but they also have players with basketball skills, which is what our team lacks.

His role in helping Booker and SGA develop is relevant. Also excited that he'll probably install an offense where the ball will move a lot more. Look how the grizz played when Ja was out. They didn't miss a beat. Very much a sign of a well coached team. They were done in by Adams and Clarke getting hurt (and Brooks overstepping) but that's still a good team when healthy.

At the very least we finally have some direction for once.

What the h does age really got to do with it? I like Darko for his experience regardlass of age. That's not the most useful bias to be plagued with when looking for talent. Best coach in the league is getting on in years. Pops is a legend.

Old coaches are usually set in their ways, and those ways may be outdated.
