The sick thing is, I guarantee you Draymond thought he was being contrite and apologetic.

lol so he's going to do some therapy sesh's then return to keep punching people in the head and kicking them in the nuts with his flailing/shooting motions? Understandable, have a nice day.

If I am the Warriors, I trade him for a bag of chips right now. He jeopardizes their chances to make a few more championship runs, this season is now officialy over for them.

The thing with Dray is that he’s built this flailing and extra motions into his muscle memory now.

I legit don’t think this one was intentional he was just flailing around and happened to catch Nurk. Not that makes it excusable.

This is quite different than when he choked out Gobert. I thought that should have been like 10 games for such blatant assault. This one should be (without his history) like 2 games it was still in the context of hoops. With his history though I think they’ll make it lengthy to prove a point that he needs to really tone it down a lot if he wants to continue playing.

The man used to play intense but now he plays more angry and flailing. It’s not good.

Sometimes I think Draymond has cast a spell over a large number of the media and fans by doing things like this so many times that people actually think its a common thing other players do on a bb court. Just randomly doing spinning punches as hard as he can knowing there is someone behind him while the ball isn't even in play. Like its perfectly normal to see that in an nba game.

Read on Twitter

The key question here is what are the "certain league and team conditions" Green is required to meet before returning. They also make this suspension Draymond-specific: the number of games he is out depends on when he meets those conditions – and if he doesn't, he doesn't come back at all.

Even if it were known what the conditions are, it wouldn't necessarily clarify how long the suspension is, or how hard they are for Green to meet.

Rather than just settling on a clear, lengthy, and highly warranted suspension period, they've essentially designed a form of discipline that allows Draymond to control his own fate by fulfilling some undefined set of conditions. It leaves room for the possibility that if he shows he's undergoing some form of counseling or therapy he can return within a few weeks. I think it would have been better for them to go all in and suspend him for 25 games so there's a clear understanding of what the consequences are.

If Ja got 25 for a glock than theres no way dray gets that much for a few flagrants. Id say 10 max withoutpay and mandatory anger management or somethin like that . Silver acts like hes an upstanding memeber of the players accosiation

You have the old guys in the media glorifying how tough the old NBA was
You got the fans extremely excited every time the smallest "fight" errupts, even though it's usually nothing but words
But then as soon as anyone actually does anything with their hands it's suspensions immediately.

I mean I don't mind either way, for me basketball always meant some low level violence, nothing serious, maybe a couple of bruises.

So take your pick people, what do you actually want? The commissar will oblige.

A face to face fight when it’s warranted .
Not a cheap shot when someone is making basketball plays.

Has the NBA ever allowed a face to face fight?

I realize in the NHL fighting in some cases is allowed or it used to be I don't watch that, but I have never seen a fist fight or a potential one not be broken up immediately and both players tossed.

I mean , it’s more of if a fight/ brawl happen between teams in the heat of the moment , a few games fine and we move off it forever.

This guy keep taking cheap shot from the back.

To be clear fight in sports are mostly just shoving and 1-2 punch in at most , not a full fledged fight .

If the NBA are doing this right, they themselves won't know what the conditions are until Draymond meets with a psychologist and starts counselling. Some kind of a diagnosis will be made and then presumably, the NBA will decide what he needs to do. And after all the stuff that went down this year, it'll probably be an ongoing thing. If he attends anger management classes, it might be that he can come back after a certain amount, but that he still has to attend meetings for a period after he comes back, under threat of another suspension.

There will be conversations with Silver, Kerr, whatever stakeholders you can think of. His return will probably hinge on whatever psychologist/psychiatrist saying he's made progress. Of course, if Draymond decides to treat counselling the way Ja treated it, then there'd probably be a season-long suspension.

Would he be in a jail if all these attacks (Poole/Sabonis/Gobert/Nurkic) were done on the streets?

This is a bit reminiscent to Ron Artest... You have to wonder if there's something else going on.

The leash Draymond has been given has been long enough... This was long overdue.

You could go to jail if you commited a common foul IRL. If you went up to someone and hit them on the arm.

Therapy takes several months or years. Its not like fixing a muscle or ligament. First you have to buy into the process and accept what you are. Excluding a farce with Dray faking his progresses and fooling his therapist, we wont see him for a while.

I don't know how this resolves itself if Draymond doesn't believe he's doing anything wrong. He's thinks that he's just misunderstood, and a bit unlucky. He's not meeting any criteria that the NBA throw up if he continues to believe that.

They have no chance even with him. The dynasty is already dead, they just won’t admit it.

If they were smart they’d blow it up, and get as many picks as possible.

They effed up trying to get cute, have their cake and eat it too. They could’ve used their lottery picks to get substantial help, but they instead drafted a bunch of meh.

Do right by Steph. Send him to a clear contender like OKC or Philly. Perhaps Orlando, Brooklyn, or some other team if he prefers.
