There is some context, just a couple months before the Finals made trades to bring to replace 40% of their starters with two 25-year-olds... PJ Washington at PF and D.Gafford at C who will eventually be replaced by Lively once he's ready, these are players they can better integrate and have (if they want) for the next 5-7 years. Maybe this group of Dallas becomes a tighter team with a year together vs just a few months, then again, maybe not!

They do have a possible limited window with Kyrie, I'm not sure they're going to have the assets to replace him in a few years but maybe they're banking on the Luka and Lively duo to carry them by then.

Maybe having new management is helping Dallas?

On the clippers side itll have to be a monumental offer for them to trade away PG and make the warriors instant title contenders. Theyre not just going to take cp3 expiring, Some prospects like kuminga and trayce jackson davis, and picks.. theyre going to want something significant back so that the warriors have something to work on ..

Too many times in this league weve seen trades to the lakers or to boston that made no sense and only benefited one team.. clippers and warriors are about the same rank wise..
