Well: they have to max him soon. That's a cost.

The Spurs has their two all-stars now, though. All teams get moving forward, after all.

First they had to sit on hands until Victor is at least 28 y.o. to evaluate him to be sure he is good

i'm sucker for Castle. I think he has very nice toolbox of tricks for a guard, he even plays smaller than he is when it comes to all the little moves.
But yea, he is still very green and Spurs won't wait until he learns how to be PG.

In nba, time is now.

Didn’t they give up all the picks? 4 1sts and 3 2nds?

Likely to be nothing picks for the Kings - Charlotte pick is lottery protected this year. Spurs 2027 unprotected 1st will only be valuable if Wemby is out for the season. Minny 2031 1st might be valuable in 6 years time, lol.

But yeah, Spurs got a sweetheart deal. If I made that move in 2K I’d feel guilty.

Yea.
Hornets pick now transforms into second round picks ( as it won't convert).
Bulls pick had top 10 protection on it, top 8 in 2026.

It all boils down to 2027 pick ( Vemby contract year) and that Wolves pick, and as you said, it's so far in advance to know anything.

Now we are waiting for Suns and Heat to make move.

Wait, the Spurs are cutting corners! They aren’t ready to contend yet, Wemby is only in his second year! What about the timeline?!?

Some franchises care about winning and aggressively pursue what's necessary to accomplish it, others sit back and watch 30 percent of their 3pt shots go in, draft 3097230832704 players with no true position, and then hope talk of "family" is enough to sell tickets. Just wait until PB and Franz say enough is enough and demand to play elsewhere.

What is Wemby's timeline and where is Wemby on this timeline?

And-1?

Sochan is a 29.3% threeball shooter this year. Which makes him BETTER percentage wise than Black and Isaac.
His addition would really help Orlando cement that sub-30% line the teams seems is their destiny.

That’s a real concern…happens often enough in today’s NBA. I wouldn’t blame them, Paolo especially- he’s young enough to need guidance and he’s just being asked to make stuff happen. Developing or reinforcing losing habits and burdensome, ineffective playing style.
