Spurs maybe better off shutting down Fox this season if he's still injured and tanking properly if they gonna play like this.

Victor has more highlights in 1.5 seasons that most players have over their entire careers

I'm excited to see what he can do as the team around him improves. Hopefully he's healthy this year.

He looked better by the numbers this year, but I'm still concerned with his 3pt volume. Still, clearly coming through with loads of talent and ability, and just a ton of fun to watch on D.

I know it’s only preseason, but he’s eased up on the 3’s and attacked the paint better than ever. His passing also looks smooth as F.

Beyond excited for this season to get started, maybe this is the year he breaks into the top 5.

There were a number of times in the scrimmage and in the first preseason game I thought he would pull up for a three and he ended up making a play for one of his teammates instead. Now that he actually has some decent teammates to pass the ball to I expect his APG to tick up to 5+ this season. Should have more than a few triple doubles this season, maybe even a quadruple double finally

okay, i know im going to get rocks thrown at me, but I really want to see how his midpost shot creation has progressed. There are certain matchups and defenses that i want to see how he reacts to. Given the structure of the team, it looks like he is going to be the shot creator in that area going forward if harper becomes a max contract guy.

Has been a pleasant part of his game from the start, for sure.

Me too. Has looked promising so far whenever he's bothered to do it, and now that the team seems to have improved and everything, I'm hoping he'll do it a little more and take the 3 a little less. A little; his range is still super valuable to the team, but it brutalizes his consistency when he's taking it in insane volume.

Super talented, and he's got good coaching and support around him. I think he's primed for a great season. Hell, he had a great year this past season, and we're mostly picking at nits and looking for maximization, anyway. He's fun to watch.

He looked noticeable quicker to me during the preaseason game. In the first two seasons at times it looked like he was moving through mud, kind of slow and sluggish. Here, he looked really explosive of the burst. If this is real, and his shot selection is improved (fewer 3s, more inside play and high post action), phew he might already be a top 4 player next season.

IF he stays healthy for 10+ years, he will be the GOAT. It will all depend on whether the Spurs will be able to build a winning team around him. But he is the kind of player that everybody will want to play with. So they should be successful in the FA market

There are some interesting names in the 2027 FA market. They are loaded on the guard positions, so for forwards 2027 there are

DeAndre Hunter
Jonathan Kuminga
Brandon Ingram
Miles Bridges

Or Deni Avdija in 2028

Or they just package their assets for another star next to Harper and Wemby. I just woudlnt want to see Wemby's GOAT hopes be limited due to team success. Cause individually, if he stays healthy, he has everything needed to become the GOAT

Or if they get lucky in the 2026 draft and get one of Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer or Nate Ament, then its over for the league

Avg. only one less 3pa (8.8) than 2pa (9.9) last season should be concerning. It's great that he has 3pt range, but he's much better suited inside the arc.

Definitely would like to see that change.

He worked with Hakeem and KG in the summer, small sample size from Preseason but he looked way more aggressive attacking the paint the other night.

I just wonder like lets say they play the warriors and put draymond on harper and butler on wemby. this is a tactic teams employ to prevent ball screens like what okc did with jokic putting caruso on him and helping. its nitpicky, but its really what takes him to being a championship, resilient scorer.

He's got time. He has a season and a half of play under him at this point, and he's gonna be 22. There's no REAL need for him to become the instantaneous MVP candidate everyone sort of wants him to already be, you know? The talent is evident, so he's super exciting, but development arc is still a thing. Even Lebron and KD and those guys took a couple seasons to get themselves truly rolling as scorers. Wemby's going to find himself amid all this experimentation, for sure.

He took more than 10 kg (22 pounds) on less than one year.
I don't know if it's a good thing for his body to take too much weght that fast.
Hope he stays healthy.

I'm concerned. For my team's long term prospects.

I hope his health holds as I think he's going to take another step this year. I've never seen a team shy away form layups more than when Wemby is on the floor.
