Poor start and Memphis couldn’t miss anything. Just keep the defensive pressure seen in the second quarter and the Magic can turn it around in the second half.

Can't waste a game where Paolo shoots like this. He needs to keep taking these 3s where the defense refuses to guard him. Would improve the spacing tremendously if he shows up as a threat on the scouting report from there.

Pains me to see how slow Moe is right now. I know it could take time, but man.

The Grizzlies aren’t even good. Even if we made a few bunnies, we’d still be losing. The defense is terrible and the offense doesn’t make sense.

Bane: 0-1 from 3
Coward (Bane’s rookie replacement that they took with 2 of our picks): 3-5 from 3

Team defense again the problem. Finally had a decent stretch midway in the second. Need more of that to start the third.

Paolo looked overall better on both ends.

Put Penda on JJJ.

I think we'd technically be up by one. I'm counting like WIDE open missed layups, which we had four, and then Paolo's interference, which is 10 points.

But yeah, realistically maybe you can't say we "should" make all of those without counting baskets Memphis should make, but it sure seemed like we missed so many easy points.

Offense was fine in the 2nd. Defense turned up a bit too.

Have a lot of individually mediocre defenders out there, but if the effort is bad, it looks extra terrible.

I had to get back to work after the first quarter. Looks like they played a better 2nd. I’ll stay away. For the good of the team.

That injured roster would beat us by themselves too with the way we’re playing

Come on man you know better than that. You can’t make that comparison. Just like everyone they are sticking to Bane like glue. Coward is hot but he making mostly wide open 3s because Wendell is getting destroyed.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

If we're going by history, Grizz come out the 3rd with a run, Magic go down 14-15, then get it to within like 6-8 by the end of the 3rd, make a game out of it in the 4th and then lose or win in cardiac fashion.

I would prefer they play Morant. They are worse with him.

I think we will pull this one out. I mean it's the homecoming Germany game against a bad team, we have to.

Grizzlies also blew a couple of fastbreaks. Goes both way as always. We are definitely losing the "randomness" battle to this point though, no doubt.

I don’t mean that post as a shot at Bane btw.
