The Lakers arent in "great shape", but I feel really good about what happened last night. Kobe had a horrible shooting night, Odom played like garbage, Radman had a god-awful game, the Lakers got horribly out-rebounded... And the Lakers still couldve won that game... And it was in Boston. The Celtics wouldve been in huge trouble if they lost that game, they had to win it.

What a f***ing tool.
If it were Kobe, you would be praising his **** TOOL!
And, if I were you, I'd stop acting like one. Please! -- Grow up and argue with facts/related discussions, and not insults.

Are you even real? Everyone has seen him limp at the press conferences and after the game... And he took one or two shots in the fourth... and NO drives to the basket like he ALWAYS does in the fourth... Get a friggin clue! If it were Kobe, you would be singing paeans in his praise...

To all posters,
If anyone has an issue with a poster, please press the report button and let a mod handle it, or feel free to PM one of us, but do not attack anyone; it will only get YOU in trouble.
Let's try and enjoy this Finals series, it's going to be one of the better one's we've had in quite some time, and a few people being suspended/banned and not being able to partake in their teams finals run wouldn't be worth it -- So, please act civilized and get your posts across in a respectful manner.

Oh I see.. the Spurs being champions carries no weight vs. this years celtics. gotcha. I am surprised the Western Conference decided to participate in the playoffs this year....obinna wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
What does that have to do with this season and the matchups? Do you watch basketball? Celtic were and are better than the Spurs this season. That's a no brainer.
I'm not ABC or a boxscore. Any moron who watched Kobe's poor shot selection or looked at how he shot in the 4th quarter can see this.
You are not ABC or a Boxscore? What does that mean? And I dont recall me saying anything about Kobes shooting. I commented on your simplistic analysis.
Cheers.

Credit for this go to Fencer reregistered who posted in the Celtic's Board. Here's Chris Sheridan piece on Pierec's injury.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime...ime-080606
Doesn't look like he faked it more like he played on adrenaline. The weelchair more than likely was precautionary as is seen by the sideline reporter saying that Pierce waned to test it out but the medical staff wouldn't let him. It's probably a sprained knee and probably hurt quite a bit right after but he might be able to play thourght it though obviously not at 100%.

After the game, Pierce was walking with a pronounced limp as he exited the postgame interview room and headed back to the locker room, but some 45 minutes later the injury was clearly bothering him more.
As he walked to his car, Pierce was still wearing his warm-ups. The snaps along the right side were hanging open, revealing a wrapping of several ace bandages from the bottom of his calf to the top of his thigh, an additional layer of white tape wrapped around the lower half of his hamstring, ending just above his knee.
Pierce's feet moved no more than 12 inches with each step, and as you watched him begin to navigate the four flights of stairs from the locker room level to the players' parking lot, you couldn't help but wonder exactly how much adrenalin had fueled his comeback. The knee injury could also keep him out of Game 2 or, at the very least, reduce his effectiveness.
...
But again, this series is only one game old, and Pierce left the building looking more like someone in need of a leg transplant than someone who will bounce back quickly with treatment. ...
Because ambulance or no ambulance, the truth was The Truth could barely walk by the time the night was over.
