I like that Prichard's got shooked.

If he wants to become great as he says he wants to, he needs to get over elite defenders. You only get better after losing to better players. So let this be his reminder to work on his skill set more.

Lastly, I have been on the get rid of Romeo train since Year 2. Sure he could be an all-star someday but if we can't play him on our team, he is nothing but a wasted roster spot. As for Edwards, let PP be the last undersized PG we have on the team. No more. Just no more.

To think we could have had Saddiq Bey and Desmond Bane.

Outcoached? Lol.

ugh, now we have to hear this stupid narrative being regurgitated smh. Mitchell didn't do squat. They even had to double Pritchard, especially when Mitchell was out. PP had a bad game because he was clearly tired, had no legs and his shot was off. Half his turnovers were off the hands of teammates that should have ended up as assists. Late he got real sloppy and he forced a couple long threes that he made in earlier games when he had fresh legs. Mitchell didn't slow him down, he didn't prevent anything. In fact, PP blew by him a few times and nobody is bringing that up I see. BTW, Pritchard and Mitchell are almost identical in size. Weird how size doesn't seem to be a concern with Mitchell but so many clutch pearls about it with Pritchard. I'm starting to wonder if him being white is playing a part in this.

The thing with Pritchard, and we've seen this last year too, is when he's got even a decent defender honing on him, he can barely get off a shot. He can't beat his guy off the dribble and so his best shot is a 25-foot 3 pointer. Sure he can hit those but when he's off, what else does he really bring to the floor?

Nesmith taking tough contested shots. Either he needs someone to mentor him how guys like Reddick, Korver, and Robinson hunt for spots, or he spends the entire summer watching videos of those guys. He shouldn't even worry about his ballhandling or creating off the dribble until then. Danny Green sucks with those but is elite at what he does best.

Pritchard and Nesmith are decent players, and can settle into the rotation this year. People shouldn´t think they are starter material but also not punish them for one bad game. They are complementary players, and can have a role on the team.

Romeo, Grant and Carsen should be traded whenever possible. I don´t care: in different trades, together. It doesn´t matter to be me.

Fernando will barely play. We have Rob, Al and Enes. He can be insurance in case of injuries. Then again, I am sure that if Brad can shed his salary he will not hesitate for a second.

Love the overreactions. So classic. They had a nice run, shot really well for a few games and then faced a team that played actual D. I think they were a bit shocked at that.

Pritchard is a solid backup PG. He got shut down by the best defender in the draft, and a guy who will probably start or at least get big minutes for the Kings. Good experience for him. He's not going to be expected to carry our NBA team, luckily.

Nesmith is a good shooter, had a rough game. He won't see nearly this much attention playing next to the Jays. He's still my pick to be the starter this year.

Romeo, sucks he was out. I think he's a rotation player in the NBA, but he's got to stay healthy to get better. Trade isn't happening, he has zero value, better to take a chance that he stays healthy and improves. it's not like any of his injuries are career threatening.

Fernando was OK. Did his usual things. As a 4th big he's a solid player. Can't dump his salary since we'd have to replace him on the roster and he's already dirt cheap.

Carsen can definitely go. Sadly, I think if we could have dumped him he would already be long gone. Wish we could have sent him in the Fournier trade instead of a pick. I bet Brad asked lol.

I hated the Langford pick and after 3 years unfortunately it does not look like I was wrong.

If you do not "dominate" SL league as a third year player, its definitely telling. Like somebody mentioned, lets hope he can carve a Marquis Daniels (Indy version) role on this team, that seems to be his ceiling...

PP will be a relly good PG in ths league, great end of the first round pick.

I loved the Nesmith pick but am starting to get worried about the 3 point shooting %...I like his energy, rebounding, defense but he will have to hit 40% from three point line...

lol Langford didn't even play in last night's game. And Edwards was one of our better players last night.

It's a meaningless summer league game, chill.

so I only watched the highlights (such as they were).

It seems a strategy of “live ball TO outside the 3pt line and relying on Begarin chase-down blocks” didn’t work.

It’s telling I watched the highlights and studied the box score without realizing Romeo was missing. Classic Romeo! What a character!

Spoiler:
there is no Romeo Langford

Good post. Way to provide some context here and a reality check for the crazies on here.

I agree with all of it, except Nesmith starting. He doesn't look ready and hasn't earned it. Unless he really shows me something more and makes some serious strides, I see no reason to start him over any of the following: Tatum/Brown/Smart/Horford/Rob/Richardson/Schroder. He's 3rd guy off the bench, at best.
