I think they called Sengun for his off arm, but that doesn't look like a good call to me either. It was upheld in review.

They've had constant injuries too during their ascension. They're incredibly deep and have a bunch of extra draft picks if they want to add more talent.

My first reaction to the "Zach LaVine not currently being shopped" article is "Who the HELL would be shopping for Zach LaVine right now?" but my second reaction is "Who the hell WOULD be shopping for Zach LaVine right now?"

On one hand, 27 year old 2 time all star, averaged 27/game 2 years ago, signed long term.

On the other hand, only good for 60-70% of your games, knee situation seems degenerative, the long term thing is for over 40m/year.

Would have to think there'd be some desperate interest in him from somewhere but what could the Bulls get if they put him out there today? There are probably a half dozen teams or so who'd convince themselves he'd right them.

Bulls should absolutely tear it down and tank. The current roster has a first round ceiling.

Philly's near-collapse got all the attention because the game was on ESPN, but Cleveland had a terrible collapse last night as the Kings finished on a 19-0 run. I was really high on Cleveland coming into the season, I thought it was plausible that they could get the best record in the East but that was as much a function of figuring the Bucks and Celtics would be load managing guys throughout the season as it was about the Cavs themselves. But while I still like this team as a regular season team and still love their long-term upside, its increasingly clear that barring injuries to Boston or Milwaukee that this team has a 2nd round ceiling.

On a completely different note, tonight's Warriors-Celtics game is going to be fascinating. The Warriors are tied for the best home record in the league (but have the 29th best road record in the league, better than only Orlando), but the Celtics look a little like the 2013-14 Spurs as the team that feels like they let a championships slip through their fingers and it fuels them for a season-long rampage. And if that's the case, a night like tonight is the perfect opportunity to show that. And, not for nothing, the comparison to that Spurs team is one that Phoenix got for pretty much all of last season and they flamed out spectacularly in the playoffs.

The Cavs are good, but they're not good enough that they can be off in any way or "pick their spots" and still win more often than not. Reminds me of the all the borderline Bucks teams who were good as long as a list of distinct criteria were all met.
