Fans r not patient enough, if the rookie doesn't deliver within year 1 he ll be called a bust, like suggs ab,Jett etc.....

You guys are not patient enough

Orlando needs to make round 2 of the playoffs next year and be a marginal Championship contender for 2026/27. Not sure what you think the window is here.

Exactly, 2025 rookies won't see any pt unless it s a 3rd C like Raynaud
Suggs, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, Jett
Franz, TDS,
P5, JI, Panda
Wcj, Goga, Moe

So obviously I'm a Gata...but on top of that I think Clayton is perfect for the team. At worst he will be a dude off the bench who can hit open 3s. Love him at 16.

But if we keeping both picks...I've been watching that 7'2 19 year old chinese kid. Coming around on him. Wouldn't mind taking a flier on him. He has some stuff to his game.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

The scouting report for Hansen Yang is that he is all offense and poor defense. So I guess his upside is "Better M-Wagner". If the Magic keep their SRPs, than a dradftn-N-stash on Yang should be fine. It's better than whatever Cash Considerations would bring to the team.

Hoopshype says we worked out John Poulakidas SG from Yale. He's a senior. Supposed to be the Ivy League Luke Kennard.

Hoenstly, I dont think Yang will be a good option in the secound round.

I doubt he’ll come over to play in the NBA without a guaranteed deal. He’ll be making a lot more in China than being a second rounder.

I really think the picks should be traded but if one of them were used it should be on Kasparas Jakucionis. He does everything the magic needs.

I thought Yang is the DPOY in the CBA this past season in China

How many mocks have him going before 10? NBAdraft.net have going to the Magic. Most mocks have between 9-14.

Great list, mine would be very similar right now.

In order of preference-

Guard: Jase/Clayton/Riley/Traore/Coward

Bigs: Sorber/Wolf/Beringer/Yaxel/Yang/Fleming

2nd rounders: Kalkbrenner/Broome/Lanier/Salis/Markovic/Uzan/Proctor/Bates/Faye/Brea/Sears/Nembhard

IF Jase Richardson slides to us at #16...does it alter our trade plans?

Would JR, as an 18yo rookie, making around $4m be a strong enough bet to resist making a move for Simons ($27.7m), Sexton ($18m), CJ McCollum ($30.7m), Jaden Ivey ($10.1m) or Coby White ($12.9)?...keeping in mind that ALL of those targets are expiring deals.

Richardson measured at 6'0.5" (so 6'2 in shoes) with a 6'6 wingspan and a 38" vertical.

If Weltman and Mosely really want to lean into the Suggs/KCP starting lineup, does Jase make a lot more sense as an off-the-bench offensive machine with, ultimately, starter upside?

That wouldn't prevent us from making other moves for more of a playmaking PG elsewhere...
ORL sends: KCP, Goga, Caleb Houstan, ORL 26 frp (with high-upside swap)
LAL sends: Austin Reaves(PO-payday coming), Gabe Vincent(exp), Maxi Kleber(exp)

At #25, ORL selects Danny Wolf or Maxime Raynaud...decline CoJo, Harris, Moe Wagner (re-up Moe for $8m x 2+1TO)

WCJ, Raynaud, Isaac (Moe)
Paolo, Isaac, Kleber
Franz, TdS, Isaac
Suggs, AB
Reaves, Richardson, Vincent

From my good friend, AI
"Draft Rumors:
Focus on Shooting and Wings: The Magic's primary need in the draft is perimeter shooting and a reliable 3-and-D wing to alleviate offensive pressure on Banchero and Wagner.
* Wing Prospects: Three prospects frequently linked to the Magic are:
* Carter Bryant (Forward, Arizona): Praised for athleticism and a solid three-point shot.
* Cedric Coward (Forward, Washington State/Duke): Showcased a 7-2 wingspan and efficient three-point range at the Combine.
* Liam McNeeley (Forward, UConn): Despite an ankle injury, his shooting is a key appeal for the Magic.

Guard Prospects:
* Walter Clayton Jr. (Florida): Magic fans are reportedly keen on Clayton Jr. due to his scoring and 3-point shooting.
* Jase Richardson (Michigan State): A 19-year-old guard who has been linked to the Magic with their No. 16 pick.
* Nolan Traore (French guard) and Ben Saraf (Israeli guard): International guards are also being mentioned as possibilities."

True...he will be 20 someday.

He will be 19 when the draft hits, so don't throw in some ridiculous variable that sinks or elevates him...he's the right age for a one and done.

my list was pretty much this exactly except brea and nembhard, i had to consolidate it down to a few prospects......
