PG:Mike Bibby PG: Lou Williams
Okay, where do you see us getting beat so badly?
The C position? Al Horford has exploded somewhat and it'd be nice to see if becomes a legit post player. That's what the Hawks really need, rather then Jamal "I'm a loser" Crawford. But Horford is no Howard, and Daly is a pretty good center when focused.
Because I know you hate your own team more then anything, I'll "give" this to Atlanta. But it isn't a difference that'll win games.
Elton Brand just OWNS Josh Smith. As athletic as Smith is, he doesn't have a half-court game to speak of. And Brand happens to be one of the better post defenders in the league. Offensively, since Smith isn't going to be coming over for weak-side blocks any time soon, he isn't stopping Brand.
Brand>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Smith
Marvin Williams needs to finally break out. Granted, he's solid in that like Young he doesn't need the ball to succeed. But how good of a defensive player is he? Because Thad Young's one of the better young forwards in the league. and a versatile gifted scorer. Since Young has done more then Marvin in terms of development. I'm going Young here.
Johnson and Iggy are two similar type of ballers. Both can make plays for their team-mates and both are guys that can carry a team offensively. Both are relatively good defenders, though Iguodala is a better one. But in exchange, Johnson has the 3 ball and that kind of makes him a bit better.
Mike Bibby has adapted at losing his explosiveness to becoming a Steve Blake-ish PG that shoots the 3 and takes care of the ball. Meanwhile, I have trust and faith in Lou Williams. This is a kid that is really acting like an additional 2 guard to the offense. All he has to do is initiate the pass, after that. He's free to do some things offensively. He'll pick apart Mike Bibby, whose bad at defense. And since Bibby isn't exactly a go-to-guy or anything like that, Lou's defense isn't a concern here.
Lou>>Bibby
So maybe the C and SG positions at best? But that's analyzing them 1-on-1. Analyzing them from a team basis, shows a team that lacks a low post option and requires perimeter offense. Iggy/Young are two guys that can shut down the wings defensively and Brand/Daly back them up.
Face it, we're better PERIOD.
We're better suited to taking them on, that's why we blew them out 3 times outta 4.
