A bit comforting that Danny Green appears to be a possible backup plan that’ll still be there if Kawhi decides to sign elsewhere.

So I'm reading all this in traditional mode so that all I see is "Read on Twitter" on tweet posts... I'm going through opening those **** like a poor kid with a lotto scratcher...

And I'm starting to get pissed at Kawhi... Kmon Bruh... Make the Kall already...

Agree, but that Butler deal is ominous. If they can't iron that out we could be in trouble there...

Def one of the more interesting FA nights I can remember. It's all going down. Usually there are a couple signings of little significance..maybe a top guy resigns with his team - as most predicted. But then everyone waits for the big guy to make up his mind, and then it all starts rolling based on his decision.

Not today....this is great. Wonderful day for the nets. They make awkward high-school movie prom scenes about the knicks today. Gotta be checking their B.O. and taking a 10th breath mint. But it don't matter.

It's a Monday here and KL said his not having meetings with Lakers/Clippers until Monday which will be our Tuesday.

I'm going to wake up early tomorrow around 6am ish even though I'm not working and take a look on here, seeing that Kl has signed some where

Yeah, this pretty much lines up with everything I've been saying thus far. Glad to see twitter and other reports are covering it. I just asked for more details on this meeting after learning that it happened today. Here's what I got for you...

Am told meeting with Magic went well after he explained that given his broader business commitments, a less hands on role with the Lakers was more appropriate, and that he was clashing with those who were grinding on the job more than him. After being briefed by Lakers business execs, Magic cleverly linked this back to LA, saying how his stardom in such a big market afforded him all these business opportunities that ended up sucking up his time away from the Lakers, and have given him both something to be passionate about and generated solid income for him post basketball. Obviously no mention of being forced out as far as I know. Dennis was satisfied with the explanation.

AEG is eager and pressuring Jeanie to close fast. Marketing promos for the big 3 is underway. Kawhi and his camp want assurance that things will run smoothly from the top-down, especially after the coaching debacle and mentions of Laker-nepotism (i.e. Rambis family) etc.

I wonder if players like Lebron feel like they know anything about Kawhi?

I can just picture AD, Lebron and Kawhi at some joint with Lebron and AD trying to sell him. After a 3-4 minute pitch.....with Lebron and AD talking titles, hand gestures, lot's of mentions about the looks he's gonna get, cause he can't get double-teamed...etc etc. Kawhi just kinda purses his lips and nods back and forth a couple times.

Lebron looks over at AD...kinda pauses a second, and then pours into the pitch about some of the role-guys they have lined up, and how Kuzma will be able to spell both he and Lebron, making him this great #4, and how the team is set up for years to come.....

....at this point Kawhi's kinda eying the appetizer section. He sorta looks up at Lebron...throws a nod and a 'that works', and goes back to the menu.

I'd like to think that Lebron and AD have both let management know that the guy is very interested.....hence the willingness to take this gamble. But Christ...who knows with him??

Beverley out of picture too. What PG is available to sign? WE will go with Rondo who cannot shoot a lick. Or maybe Elfrid Payton? is he free agent? no one left in market.

Would people in LA be mad at Kawhi if he waited a few days and resigned with Toronto? I'm not trying to stir the pot, this is just an interesting situation and I'm curious.

We signed Caruso

we can Roll with him and Rondo as back up- i'm sure we'll be fine there

I mean The ball is going to be in Bron's, AD, Kuz and potential 3rd stars hands anyway
