That's my gut reaction as well. The only counterpoint I come up with is if it's been his dream since he was a kid to play with the Lakers. If that were true, and I'm the consensus best player from the playoffs and Finals MVP, why should I let anybody stop me from playing there. "Who cares if LeBron is there? He's old and gonna be gone in a few years. I'll still be there winning rings with AD."
Dude's legacy is established, he's got nothing to worry about in that respect. Go play at home with the team you always wanted to play for.
That said: I've had tickets on the Kawhi to the Clippers train for so long, the concession car people know me by name.
