I didn't see the CLE/NYK game, but the Knicks seemed like a typical overachieving team last year and I didn't buy the hype. Adding Fournier and Kemba improves their offence a bit, but their calling card was defence and they've been getting roasted so far. Rubio with a career-high 37 points on 8-9 shooting from behind the arc is just funny though.

Any deal for Simmons would have to include Jaylen Brown

Massive for Sixers. We all thought Ben's value was absolutely nothing, or getting there. Brown is a decent pickup.

IMO, it would make more sense for the Celtics to make the trade than the Sixers. Ben could be Tatum's Scottie Pippen

The Celtics have lost their minds if they trade Brown for Simmons. Brown is almost Simmons equal defensively but he's 2x the offensive player. That would be a huge panace move.

what I have noticed using Mobley and Simmons as examples..too many posters spend much more time looking at analytics (and boxscores) than watching the games.
It explains how anyone can say Brown is almost equal defensively to Simmons (should not even compare Brown(scorer) to Simmons(facilitator)) and all the hype around Mobley like he has been out there facing up creating his own shots.(He is super slow compared to rookie Chris Bosh)

Not really. He's already one of the best defenders in the league lol.

He's easily the ROTY for the media.

I don't think Brown is close to the defender Simmons is. What makes you think that?

He's very prone to random defensive lapses, especially off-ball.

Even a straight up Brown for Simmons is a win win for both teams. Simmons is >>>>>> on defence and Brown is >>>>>> on offence... Way better than McCollum. Hope it doesn't happen. Also Mobley is a beast, no wonder we wanted him. Masai and Bobby know. At least we got the 2nd best player. With the 4th pick on 7th odds while playing in Tampa with playoff talent.
