Does young mean inexperienced and having proved nothing?

Koloko is 25. Time to let that ship sail into the sunset.

Koloko-like not actually him

Name a Koloko-like player that would be available and for a simple swap at that.

Not Koloko-like but Holmes would be great. He showed he is capable of shooting. The worst part of the Raptors is that they can't stretch the floor. They ranked 27th last year and the only major difference is Ingram.

Stretch big would be good. our roster is dying for Cs that can stretch the floor.

It would be the ultimate advantage. We can lose some rim protection with Barnes. A stretch C and Ingram would be a great combo. A big that can clear the paint on offense is super helpful for scorers.

So we still have an open spot. Why not sign Precious or Jared Butler.

Because Bobby values tax flexibility over carrying an extra guy as the 15th player. Hence why AJ was cut from his fully non-guaranteed NBA deal and essentially demoted to Chomche's open 2-way spot.

Can't think of an available player who would make a difference so I'd prefer tax flexibility - maybe someone becomes available later.

This is the type of player I was hoping we give the spare 2-way too; I remember being interested in Smith during his draft year. Hopefully we can at least give him an Exhibit 10.

Could have 2 spots open without signing Temple.

Too small to play C and I don't think he's better than Mamu. Don't see a role on this team for him

I would just man the back up 5 with a combo of Mogbo Scottie cmb. Not sure if mamu could do it as effectively

6’9 without shoes (so around 6’10-11 with shoes) and 7’1 wingspan is not too bad. Only 20 yrs old (turning 21 next month); probably has more real potential than Chomche. We can use a shooting big under our development.

This would be very good. He has good fundamental skills that are needed in the NBA. He was supposed to be a stretch big. I would put him on a 2 way if we can.

220lbs with no defensive chops coming into the league. Want a big that can actually guard bigs and rim protect.

Yes. Smith, Dillon Jones both got cut. With teams cutting people with guaranteed deals for cap implications I like the idea of pouncing on Jones. Seems like a perfect Raptor at 23 years old. I like what Miami is doing despite being starless save for Bam-Herro. They find gems but have two "functional" overpays in Wiggins and Rozier. They have great guards.

I would cut Martin's 2-way for Smith. I don't know what the Raptors see in Martin... short athletic guards are a dime a dozen in the G-League.

It's about culture. Meaning we don't have a pouting end of bench player I guess?
