Angel was 100% right. The Sky's management's response to her calling them out says everything to me.

If she didn't care, she would have stayed silent and waited for the first chance to ask for a trade.

Angel isn't the first star these idiots have pissed off.

I'm just saying

Sloot's gonna lead them back to the playoffs once she recovers from her ACL injury

And here is a glaring example

Why would the Sky tap a 36 year old on the back end of her career to be their lead guard, knowing full well that guard was a serious issue last season?

They spent draft capital on HVL and they don't even play her

There you go

I do think it says something that despite the record, there are no reports of mismanagement from the Sun

Vibes are pretty good, apparently

Get TC to stay another year, teach Angel some post moves, plus with Rivers and Lacan on the perimeter and Angel inside, that's a potential elite defensive core, and one of ONO's problems is she's kind of a soft rebounder, so Angel would help there too

I'm just saying.

The Sun just need more resources in terms of a practice facility and they need to move to a bigger venue (Hartford). Basketball is not the issue in CT. You guys were one of the top teams for a hot minute before everyone left. If I'm CT i am definitely offering two 1s for Angel

I know everyone is trying to get Angel to Dallas, but Dallas' management is just as goofy as Chicago's.

Free Angel. Free Paige.

Free Angel. Free Paige.

Yeah, this is only the 2nd time since 2016 the Sun have had a losing record, and the only other time was in 2020 when the season was cut off halfway, and they still went 10-12

And I know like, we don't have a top tier young talent like Paige or a potential top tier young talent like Angel, but the young talent on the roster is nothing to sneeze at. I feel like the team is in a good place going forward, and even the coaching has taken a big step over the course of the year. It's just funny seeing teams with arguably better talent than us be way more pessimistic about the future, and we don't even know where the Sun are gonna be playing in 2 years lol

The NBA has been saying there is no money to be made in professional women's basketball here in the US.

Not directly. Just letting the Cowherd's and say it for them.

But the evidence otherwise just keeps mounting. Franchise valuations. League's all over the world paying the ladies a lot of money. Now a domestic league paying the ladies a lot of money.

There's money to be made from women's professional basketball.

If the NBA can't figure out how to make money and pay the players, I welcome the opportunity for somebody else to try.

Aside from Phee/Stewie/Unrivaled, there's a growing list of billionaires that want to invest, but are being frozen out by the NBA.

The WNBA makes so little money, they just have $250 million lying around to offer to buy a team lol

Them doing that is 100% getting brought up in CBA negotiations, they really shot themselves in both feet with that one lol. That's enough to give every single player like $1.5 million.

The NBA is so f*cking corrupt. If we didn't need them I'd call for a divorce

And to think they wanted to basically gift the Sun to a Trump crony owner who is so broke that he can't afford a $250m price tag.

As far as I know, the NBA has refused to make public their financial books for the W.

I wonder why...Adam Silver is rotten as it gets.

I was joking with my mom about what we'd buy if one of us won that $1.7 billion lottery last week

I said, you know what I couldn't buy with that? The Sun lol.

My hope is that there are enough billionaires/well-funded groups that aren't afraid to go up against the NBA that we might get a chance to find out.

A pipe dream, I know.

More importantly, nice win for the Storm to sneak in.

Storm are schizophrenic and I don't think they can beat the Lynx.
But they've given the Lynx some headaches this year.

Storm can beat (or lose to) anybody on any night.

Nneka continues to dominate. Skylar, Sykes, and E-Wheezy can take over at any time. I don't know what's going on with Gabby lately, but she can too.

And Dom.....this kid is figuring it out and you don't want to face her right now.

As always, so impressed with the Sun.

Game didn't matter. They were outclassed. But the team gave it their all, and the crowd was fantastic.

Saniya is going to be special.
Bigger, longer, faster than every wing in the league. Only need the outside shooting, which is coming around.

At times last night, she was just giving the business to Allisha, a worthy 1st team all W canidate.

I'm not the most knowledgeable basketball guy, but Saniya feels like she's got some Giannis potential to me.

That crosses my mind when I watch her.

I'm sure that's foolish. If anybody wants to explain why, I'm open to that.

Return to WNBA
