It's possible, breh. Guys are sleeping on Mudiay because they haven't seen much of him. Dude was considered a better prospect outta high school than Russell. If he kills his workout, I could see it...

Fans should still be excited. 1 of Russ or Mudiay will be there. The initial disappointment is starting to wear off a little bit for me.

Or the Orlando game thread. Or the San Antonio game thread.

Anyone down on this #4 pick needs their head examined. We finally are in position to draft our franchise PG and pair him with Melo. We can now sell that pairing to 2 potential frachise free agent bigs as a selling point to come join an immediate contender in an east with no dominant frontline.

First step, Phil gotta call Gasol and Aldridge on a 3-way call at 12am midnight. He has to convince them that he can get the the rings they covet if they make a small sacrifice. Leave the west for $15.5 million apiece. Then he has to get on the phones and shop a package of Calderon + Hardaway + our 2018 pick to a team without taking back any salary. Get the verbal commitment from Gasol/Aldridge on a $15.5 per contract with a player option in year 2. Let them know they can opt out and make up any lost money with the cap rising due to the new TV deal.

Voila!
PG: Russell or Mudiay
SG: Galloway
SF: Anthony
PF: Aldridge
C: Gasol

Championship!!!

An excellent balanced core!

Now that I hear you say it, i think it's definetly gonna happen. And we will regret it

I'm driving the Mudiay Bandwagon. I am not a scout, and I have no special claim to proprietary knowledge, I just like him as a prospect. KAT was #1 in my book, and Mudiay was the guy I liked second best.

They probably won't even take him there, if they even keep the pick.

He kinda reminds me of Elfrid Payton personally. A little more dynamic though.

We're the only team that didn't hold its spot in the lottery. The failure of this Phil Jackson move and the Donnie Walsh deja vu is incredible. Hmmm, we're not so attractive saying to free agents we've got the number 4 pick. Phil's arrogance is being punished here. Yeah us. We're always going to come up short. Trying to get out the lottery with untested point guards. Eeek.

You guys are such babies. Yes the boogieman basketball gods F'd us. If and when Mudiay or whoever we pick does well, everyone who is bitching will be the first ones on the bandwagon. Only in NY can the fans be upset at a top 4 selection and a chance at a fantastic PG prospect in an age where guards are dominant. Guess who else were number 4 picks over the past 10ish years: Bosh, Paul, Westbrook, Conley. Relax, jesus.

Right, except mudiay has to be the guard that went to china and got hurt as opposed to russell who showed out at ohio state every few days. With the 3rd pick we'd have so much more control right now. I don't know what to think of mudiay outside of some highlights and the hype. I'll have to go find as much tape on him as possible. As of right now I have no interest in winslow really.

So Mudiay got hurt, does that make him less talented? Does Russell having a terrible two game stretch in the tournament make him less attractive? No. In fact, Mudiay played very well overseas in a professional league and it's possible Philly takes him at 3. I've never understood why this board is enamored with Russell but craps on Mudiay. Is it just bc Russell is flashier? Guess what, Mudiay is a MUCH better athlete. True we would have more control with 3 but this is a top 4 draft, be thankful we didn't get 5.

If we get Mudiay we just need to lock him in a gym with Allan Houston for a couple months. Shot should be fixed after.
