Of course we move down. We're cursed. If we tank the free agency I'm treating this team like I'm treating my Eagles. Imma try my hardest not to care.

im disappointed too but same for me.
starting to rationalize that this was a top 4 player draft and we will be getting one of them.
Yeah but now you're setting yourself up with what could be another disappointment on draft night cause you're now expecting that we'll definitely be taking whatever one of the 4 is still there at our pick and i wouldn't count J.Winslow or K.Porzingis out of being that pick at 4. I have no idea of course who Phil will take but i can definitely see him taking Winslow at 4 for sure. I will be happy with any one of D.Russell, E.Mudiay, J.Winslow or my favorite K.Porzingis.

The worst thing about this is that I could live with the 3rd pick, but now I am going to be nervous as f*ck till the draft at whoever Philly is drafting and am going to convince my self that we got the worse prospect between Russel and Mudiay no matter what.

Umm...don't count it.
We just can't be this cursed. I refuse to believe it...Dolan must have done something very evil for this kind of stuff to keep on happening.

The luckiest person is Frank Isola. This guy is going to have a lot of fun at the knicks' expense until draft night.

Re: Countdown to Lottery: Prospect Talk
I know you guys are disappointed, me as well, but 4 is probably way preferable to 5 of course, in this draft, and me personally, I'm glad we don't have to take Okafor (getting 2).
I'm fair -- Okafor could put it all together one year soon and be the best player of the draft, but that's not going to happen next year. His D wasn't close to good enough to anchor a college team's D. He'd get lit up down low -- I don't think we can withstand that in Melo's final years. And he may never be very good defensively.
I might have removed that thought with 2 so as not to upset people but I'd still think it. Okafor playing major minutes means scores on D. I'm kind of tired of watching our bigs play like that.
I'd rather roll the dice on a trade or Mudiay. But, I'd be a lot happier with Towns. And probably Russell though the workouts will tell that better so we'll get the worse of the two basically.

Is Galloway a SG?
How much value do we actually gain in Galloway vs Mudiay as PG?
Mudiay is 6'5 with a wing span over 6'8.
PG- Haliburton | Schroder | Sasser
SG- Grimes | Dick | Bogdanovic
SF- Bridges | George
PF- Hunter |Strus| Fleming
C- Turner | Powell | Wiseman

Successful people always got dreams ahead of them. I'll keep on wishing the best possible scenarios for the Knicks. My let down tolerance is pretty strong at this point.
Great post.

It's possible, breh. Guys are sleeping on Mudiay because they haven't seen much of him. Dude was considered a better prospect outta high school than Russell. If he kills his workout, I could see it...
before the year most drafts had him 2nd
Let me preface this by saying
- Ignore my username.
- I love Mudiay!
- I'm sorry.

He has zero leverage. If I was minnesota, I wouldn't give a s*** what he wants. With the CBA the way it is, he has an incentive to stay there for 7 years.

I can't even trust that Phil won't pick Winslow or WCS instead. I'm extremely nervous

To be fair we were most likely to get the 4th pick. I feel like people are forgetting that fact.

Hmmmmm. Any chance Mudiay becomes like Paul with developing great shooting?
From what I have seen/heard he is way more like Wall/Westbrook
They told me here he is not as athletic as them, and I know he cant shoot too pfffffff
I wish D'Angelo give an ultimatium to Sixers, might happen that you know
NBA Comparison: John Wall
Strengths: Emmanuel is a true point guard with dynamic speed and athleticism and great size… Very unselfish player who loves to get his teammates involved … Outstanding ball handler who is equally comfortable attacking right and left … Excels in the open court where his speed hits another gear… Sees the entire floor…Very quick first step and a lethal crossover … Makes great decisions off the pick and roll … Finishes strong at the rim … Has the size and strength to post up smaller guards … Good rebounder for a guard ...
Weaknesses: Very streaky shooter … Needs to develop a consistent midrange shot …Takes too long to get shot off … Must become a better free throw shooter … Sometimes too flashy and tries hard to make the big play which leads to turnovers … Occasionally over dribbles … Should become more of a vocal leader ... Needs to stay in a stance on defense and close out low with hands high ...

This worries me:
We didn't send someone to scout Mudiay. If we take WCS or Winslow over him, I think Phil will have made a terrible mistake.
By the way, on Mudiay's shooting..
This worries me:
Only the Lakers, Pelicans, Sixers, Spurs and Timberwolves saw Mudiay play briefly in person in China.
We didn't send someone to scout Mudiay. If we take WCS or Winslow over him, I think Phil will have made a terrible mistake.
By the way, on Mudiay's shooting..
Improvements: For one, Mudiay's jump shot. "A Spurs scout thought that he had a very good form, but he just needed to work on being more consistent," the CBA scout said. "Everyone says it's lack of practice." Abunassar said that's been a key focus in training, and Mudiay has improved. "He has elite range and mechanics," he said. In addition, Mudiay needs to be a bit more efficient with his mid-range game. "He likes to attack the basket every time, and he can probably stand to pull up more," the CBA scout said. "If he wants to have longevity in his career, he has to choose when to attack wisely."
