We would have to match salaries. We would be 10M short.

Also, I think Trier and Knox could be a really good season. Its better to not sell when your assets are low.

I think it may be a matter of WAS not wanting to trade Beal now. because he makes sense as a trade target: young all-star, soon to be FA on a team that's going nowhere fast. I'm a bit surprised he hasn't asked out

Older players tend to be stuck in their ways. Pops already working on Demars game... I know y’all hate hearing this. Look at what Jason Kidd did with Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson back in the day. We should help facilitate a trade sending russel Westbrook to New Orleans to pick up Lonzo. His passing, size and defense alone makes him worth it. This team is going to need a facilitator the way RJ tunnels on offense... passing is contagious Lonzo can set the tone for us. Make our young team an exciting one

Think of Lavar as a Checks and balances type tool for Dolan’s nonsense . Say what you want but Lavar spoke out on Magic Johnson and the Lakers when they had problems. He caught a lot of heat and ire fromthe media. Only to be proven right when magic stepped down. Lavar Shutting up dolan alone would be worth bringing Lonzo into town

If DSJ gets his shot to around %35 from 3, he's has the athleticism to be Westbrook-lite out there.

Westbrook is way overrated . He’s a stat padder and jacks up way too many shots. He is just not that good.

He’d be the best player we’ve had since Patrick Ewing. Some of ya’ll are way too confident on what this team would be able to assemble in 2 years.

So long as we don’t give up, any draft picks, RJ and Mitchell, I’d do that in a heartbeat.

Westbrook has a lot of empty stats that make him look good. Go back and watch the playoffs last year and tell me he's a player that makes others around him better. He doesn't. And besides all that- it's crazy to pay a 33 year old (47 million) who's NEVER been a great shooter relying on athleticism and the athleticism is going to be dropping off. Marbury part deux

The difficulty will really be having a balanced lineup on the floor and playing the young guys in the starting lineup. A DSJR, Knox, Barrett, Randle, Robinson starting lineup is just going to have real problems with spacing which may make all of the young guys look worse. Gotta work in Ellington and Bullock to prominent roles in the rotation.

I dont see OKC moving Westbrook to Miami. They own the Heat 21 unprotected and 23 protected 1st now. Would have to be a great trade.

There just wont be many teams that will take him and that he will want to go to. I doubt they get much in return for him.

That said, I'd rather stay the course with the rebuild instead on the star feeding frenzy happening. I want to be a top 4 seed consistently, not battling for 7 or 8
