The moment I see Cole Anthony play any minutes at SG, with or without Fultz, will I believe he will ever enter a SL next to him. Until then, keep dreaming.

Fans do this every time someone gets drafted.

Fultz would be the SG with Anthony at PG in that combo similar to when we had DJ.

At the moment it is clear Cole is purely a backup in the regular season but Cliff experimented with it quite a bit in pre-season which shows he has plans for it. We will see plenty of this duo going forward this season.

I do agree that we will not see them START together while Evan is here. What happens once Evan is gone? What happens as Cole continues to develop and impress? Time will tell ...

With Okeke playing OK and Bacon not embarrassing himself at the forward, when Ennis comes back, I agree that Aminu has no purpose on this team.

Hearing Westbrook might not play tonight and maybe Bertans.

Big elephant in the room is Bamba. Dude should be getting some minutes. Trade him if he will never get on the floor under Cliff.

I think purpose of Aminu is being AG replacement if he is traded. Gordon has raised his value significantly so far. His team defense is suprising even to me. Still zero self creation but it doesnt matter for Wolves and Nets. Jrue Holiday package incoming !!! ;)
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Orlando is averaging 32.3 FT attempts per game: 2nd highest in the league.

The Magic players releasing in and forcing fouls. Added to the fast pace of the first three games, Made Its have been critical in all three wins !!!!
(Orlando is currently the 6th digest scoring team)

He didn't play the first game, but his 1st game was solid, the problem is this last one (0-6 FG in 13 minutes).

Bryan Forbes went from destroying Magic to.... end of a bench guy on Bucks.

Gap between average and elite teams is so huge that it's impossible to even compete for title without super stacked roster and 2 superstars.
Puts in perspective how far off Magic are from +50 wins seasons.

I'm just assuming we're not going to see Bamba this season. Clifford loves Birch too much to bench him. And in a shortened season with quick turnarounds, and every team being being super cautious about injury risk, I don't see how they ever get to a place where they feel comfortable playing Bamba unless Birch or Vucevic get hurt.

At which point the Magic go into the off-season looking at a potential extension for Bamba with almost no data to go off of. I'm guessing at that point they don't extend Bamba, but allow him to hit RFA. Or trade him for pennies. It's impressive how badly the team has mismanaged the 6th pick in the draft. It's a shame.

We are not that far removed from setting an NBA record for fewest free throw attempts in a season. Things have thankfully changed.

Its a long season, we'll see what happens. Did they mess up drafting a big man with questionable desire after they had drafted Issac the year before? Absolutely, but he is also suffered immensely from Covid and already had fitness issues before that.

Y’all overreacting. Bamba will likely end the season (when healthy) averaging more minutes than Khem. Lol

Bamba was gifted the minutes last year. Lol

He ll play as soon as he is fit enough to play and earn his minutes

Bamba was drafted as a long term project, luckily, our front office is more patient than you guys

I'm not buying it. Not after listening to Clifford in all these post-practice and post-game interviews rave about Birch. And Bamba technically is healthy. He's on the active roster list.

Ah yes. Lottery pick non existent for 3 seasons to a team that was talent starved at the time. No problem because he’s a huge project.

Ayton, Bagley, Doncic, Young, JJJ, Carter, Sexton, Knox, Mikael Bridges, Shai, Miles Bridges, J Robinson, MPJr, Troy Brown, however get healthy minutes, decent roles, or are starters from the 2018 draft.

Magic just happened to draft the huge project that can’t get minutes. No rush whatsoever.

By the way, Bamba was cleared for full contact and available for the season opener Dec 23rd. So are they lying that he isn’t healthy, is he actually worse than Birch, or does Clifford not want to play him for other reasons? Which is it.

Either way, it looks like a botched pick and is a great way to devalue your assets/ talent pool by not giving him an opportunity or moving him for players that can contribute. Bacon and Ennis are questionable starters and Orlando’s bench isn’t solid enough for excuses to be made.

Love the rationalization here.

Bamba isn’t playing for any other reason other than Clifford believes Birch is the better option.

We don’t know how much Mo’s attitude or lack of professionalism plays into that, I assume a significant amount.

But make no mistake, this is not an injury situation. Bamba could be out there right now if Clifford wanted him to he and he simply doesn’t.

Bamba is the better player in my eyes, but Clifford apparently doesn’t want to reward him with minutes for not doing the right things.

Unfortunate, but it is what it is.
