a trade I think the NBA would like to see
Bucks in: Smart, Aldama
Grizzlies in: Portis, Pat
Boston vs Milwaukee becomes an even bigger storyline.

Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

If Nash wants to work for a team I'm guessing it's in a front office this time around. That always seemed like a better match for his style than coaching.
But I don't know that he'll actually go back to a full time role, that's a dude with a lot of interests outside of basketball and plenty of money.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Khtis has been a workhorse forever let's baby him and make it just a bit easier for dame to assimilate and get his shots by not parking him out there with giannis tooAussieBuck wrote:I'm good with giving Khris the full Manu treatment from here on out. 24-27 minutes off the bench and maybe a few more in the playoffs. See if we can extend his career out to his late 30s with Dame.
I think if khris was just...our 6th man... minutes wouldn't be an issue. It's not like he isn't closing EVERY time we've needed him.
And like I thing Prez said earlier... if he looked limited physically I'd be concerned but he doesn't he looks freaking great.... I think it's as simple as us viewing him as treasure and just padding him a bit if there's some soreness. Other guys get sore we're like suit it up. If thus is the long long long game with him I love it
Co-sign. Added benefit of staggering the main 3 dudes some - we really should be able to figure out a way to always have one of them on the floor, a good amount of time with at least two of them and then obviously the minutes with all 3.

I have pretty much sh** on every deal that involves Bobby and Pat, but this one I am doing immediately.
Doubt Memphis does it though.

Was thinking about Smart earlier for a deal like this. Really just don't know why Memphis would do this.Profound23 wrote:crowhead76 wrote:a trade I think the NBA would like to see

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I think they love Aldama and he's kind of gone from somewhat promising to a difficult guy to trade away.

Feel like Nash, if he wanted to, could go the Kidd route and become an assistant after the first head coaching gig didn't go well

NGL, he compiled a sterling record in November.

Imagine the D rating if you replaced a lot of Beas minutes with Dre and/or Marjon. And imagine the O rating if Midds were playing 25-30 mpg and Dairy Bird was freed from his cage and allowed to soar.

His record in the postseason is better than he’s given credit for. 8-4 in postseason series with the Bucks. One title. Three of his four series loses Midds or Giannis missed multiple games. Won the ECF without Giannis. Won a game seven on the road.

Truly, he's the Evel Kenievel of NBA coaches. We only remember the spectacular flameouts.
Snake River is a metaphor for Jimmy Butler.
The uncalled timeouts are the prematurely deployed parachute.

No one thinks that. You made that up.
People thought Bud was an idiot for his dogmatic views on basketball and refusal to change them when facing the failure of them.

Yep. Bud was an idiot for continuing to play drop when KD was going nuclear and single handedly bringing them back from a huge deficit in a massive game 5 when no one else besides Jeff Green could make a shot for the Nets and the Nets were spamming high PnR for KD with Brook’s man.
Or when he refused to stop playing drop while Tre went off in the ECF to steal game 1.
Or when he kept playing drop and let Horford have shooting practice in the fourth quarter of a very winnable game.
Regular season drop was great to conserve energy and cruise to 50+ win seasons. Postseason drop, especially in the fourth quarter against dudes on heaters, dumb.
