I don't think I have ever seen a rebounding disparity like this game

73 to 39 :o :o :o :o

bulls have 25 offensive rebounds

we murdered them on the glass in the playoffs last year I'm not scared of facing them because we would murder them on the glass...there bigs are soft. Good defenders but they aren't physical.
4-Peat! 22-25 BAF Champion Spurs:

ROSTER

Walker Kessler/Daniel Gafford/Adem Bona
Nikola Jokic/Santi Aldama/Isaiah Stewart
Aaron Nesmith/Josh Hart/Jaime Jaquez
Alex Caruso/Keon Ellis/Justin Champagnie
Steph Curry/Chris Paul/Ryan Rollins

Nuts, never seen that disparity before either, that team is Soft, if anything we should angle to get that 1st round matchup instead worrying about seeding.

They’ve had one quality win this month (I’m not counting that miracle game winner from last month either ) the rest have been beating up on bad teams.

IQ has had some good games since the break. Really love how he contributes on the boards.

It’s amazing what can happen when the coach doesn’t play everyone into the ground.
Hopewe get to see that here.

100%! Nothing worse than talking basketball with a young fan who clearly doesn't and hasn't watched the game much and goes mostly by stats!

Shaq pulling the race card because he can't think of anything smart to say

Loved Shaq the player, but no one is Shaqtin more a fool than he is with his trash takes.

Remember when the panel was talking Knicks he said we could not compete with the Cavs.

Of course you can say that statistics don't guarantee that player x will actually make an impact on the team, but according to his argument you wouldn't need a coach. Just go out and play. Great advice! Even the best players can be the worst talent scouts. Example A

Barrett too. But Toronto are maxed out and outmatched talent-wise.

Unless the Knicks somehow magically are at full strength by then, the Celtics will have the easiest road to the finals in recent memory.

Yah. They’re placing a big bet on Scottie Barnes to be the guy. I think it’s the only way this works out.

They have some smaller bets on RJ and IQ too, but none of it matters if Barnes isn’t the star they envision.

I don‘t watch them much but from what I see they are just a good team. IQ is a good to very good player, but not an IT guy.
Same with RJ and his style is a bit cloggy to flow but maybe he can turn into a slower Jimmy Butler as he is still so young.
They need time together to really tell what they are and have.

Lefkoe and Shaq are friends off camera, so he was messing with him, but that was a cringe thing to say on TV regardless. like chill bruh save that for behind the scenes

To his point, I think data is a great tool to use, but there's nuances to the game that you really can't quantify and there has to be a balance. I've seen guys who are analytically elite shooters sh*t their pants in big moments and guys who aren't hit huge shots against the odds. Every situation is different, every game flows differently, and analytical data doesn't factor in the fact that these guys are human beings.

I mean I have had a sig for a decade stating my opinion on stats

Stats are often the objective piece, but you have to discuss the subjective.

I had a friend who would debate Kobe and basically due to poor efficiency, categorized him as the #2 to Pau. There are things like gravity etc that star players, superstar players, have that influence the quality of shots for others that simple stats don't account for.

Kobe being #2 to Pau due to efficiency is insane.

By that logic, Ant-Man is #2 to Rudy Gobert because Rudy is highly efficient.

You brought up a great point: GRAVITY. How do you quantify that? It's a real thing in basketball that literally determines the outcomes of possessions. There's no stat or metric for it as far as I know, yet it impacts literally every trip down the floor offensively. Along with gravity from players that can score at a high level, spacing is also impacted by guys that can shoot efficiently.

Cavs had to play Mitchell and Garland 44 minutes each to beat the Bulls. Maybe they'll get burned out too by the playoffs lol. I'd take that matchup again

Gravity is a reason Randle is still here instead of Obi
despite all the clamouring that Obi was better for the team because he ran out for a couple of dunks. It's one of the most important parts of building a team

He just isn’t very good

Pacer targeted him the whole 4th quarter and he refused to even try to work through a screen or even follow his man through an action. It was pretty embarrassing.

Knicks will lose the play in game, after they wind up with the 9th seed.
