Why? Young shooting guard to pair with Rondo and his BFF

Cleveland trades: Dion Waiters, Luol Deng (S&T)

Why for Cleveland? Established vet forwards to go with Kyrie

Detroit trades: Greg Monroe (S&T), Josh Smith
Detroit gets: Luol Deng (S&T), Joel Anthony

Why for Detroit? Resolve 4-5 logjam

So we give up 2 good players for Deng and Anthony's corpse? Pistons won't do it

Trade forum -

Smith
for
Green, Bass

DET: Adds a SF and a backup PF who can shoot
BOS: unites Rondo and Smith
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I like the Gerald wallace+#5 much better, Green is a good SF, but not great. I don't think he's that much better than singler.

Hill for Jennings? Both teams have had it with their points and a change of scenery might do them good. Contracts are nearly identical.

That team would literally explode with the amount of bad attitudes and egos to be the "man."

I'd be pretty happy with this sort of trade, but I'd like to throw some of our expiring contracts back at Boston, to clear room this summer to make a run at Lowry. We're taking on $16.145 million in that deal. How about we send JJ and Bynum packing with Smith?

I have to assume you have a plan to move Drummond, because those guys aren't playing together. Good Lawd.

Oh come on, Wallace is a corpse at this point. As much as I hate watching Smith play, he has to be twice as valuable on the court.

I'm not going to hold my breath for Smart to develop a shot. He's been just as dumb of a chucker as Smith has. Who shoots 29% from three then comes back next year and says to himself "I need to take more of those"? Smart has joined MCW and Josh Smith in that group right now.

Magic get #6 and Nash (who possibly retires due to trade from LA)

Lakers Get #8 and Nash cleared off books

Pistons Get #11 and #12

Nuggets get Afflalo

I was joking, but if the option came up to do it, I'd rather have a defensive center in Hibbert making 14 mil for 2 years than Monroe making 14 mil for 4 years, so I probably would do it and just bring Hibbert off the bench.

He could play with Drummond though, defensively, no doubt. Because Dre can guard away from the basket and wouldn't have to worry about leaving the paint unprotected with Hibbert there. They could actually form a devastating defensive combo. Offensively it would be tough though to play them together.

Something scary about Dre at forward, getting out on the break. :o
