I wonder if Mc D knows something about Bledsoe's knees. He seems bound and determined to get rid of him.

I remember that draft vividly when Houston snatched him one pick before the sons and used him in the James Harden deal. For the 3 million this Suns might as well take the pick and at the very least stash a player

In my best Scooby Doo voice ruh roo. Scratch that so the Hornets are offering the 22nd pick in order for someone to pick their poison and choose to eat $18-$21 million yeah I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with that one

I haven't been this fired up about a draft in God only knows how long I feel much like a small child on Christmas eve I believe I shall now go for a run to release my tension.

Ha, yeah I thought about that too. I'm going to be at the draft party and asked my friend "How awkward will it be if Bledsoe gets traded while doing a meet and greet with fans during the draft?"

I said the exact same thing on the general board when people asked how excited people were on the draft. It is kind of like Christmas.
I wake up thinking "what if we do take Bender like I have wanted all along and he is so weak he just gets shoved around the post like a rag doll?"

Many here didn't like having Kieff around for as long as we did, but at the end of the day we basically got the same return for him as Atlanta did for All Star Jeff Teague. That's an amazing return and we need to be patient with our current players as well.
I'd be surprised if he's moved unless he's asked for it. Which maybe he has because I haven't heard a peep from him in the offseason when so many others have tweeted, engaged with fans, etc.

He is already on the hook for a premature swap for BK...(who he could have easily had in free agency, but I regress) McMully does not need to be adding to his second guess list. Besides, Its a put up shut up yr for Bled. The 'gimp' label is in wait for the Tiny Hulk.
Trading Knight opens up room for acquiring DMurray or Valentine or? with a later pick. (Capt Obvious checking in) Frankly though I think we end up select a pg/sg/wingish type for D League duty as injury insurance, just not at #4. I also like what Watson has said regarding passing etc... a shot across the bow maybe? May be Watson can refine/redefine BK. I just don't want to see Booker playing SF to accommodate the redundancy Knight creates....or should I say McMulligan created. I would go for the pick/Gay trade suggested as Gay at least can run PF in small ball situations, and is naturally suited for SF. But then we step on TJ's toes ??? I guess thats what happens when you have a guard /wing heavy team with no PFs and 2 Cs.
BTW.... Bender is the safe pick, IMO. BBIQ trumps the little advantages Chriss may have.
I think our best option is Dunn. His interview on ESPN a few nights ago sealed the deal for me. This kid has a great head on his shoulders and IMO will be stud.
Trade Knight for the #8 or:
Suns trade: Knight/Chandler
Suns get: Asik/Evans/#6
Suns eat a bad contract with a little potential...while gaining a high pick. Evans fills a gap for a year.
Pelicans trade: Asik/Evans/#6
Pelicans get: Kanter/Knight
Pelicans have to start winning now. Knight is a cheapish longterm contact to build with, while Kanter has offence. His D woes could be masked by Davis. NO isnt a FA destination, so they need to build with long term contracts right now.
Thunder trade: Kanter
Thunder get: Chandler
Thunder get their D/Rebound guy. With the hope of both Durrant and Westbrook resigning, they need a big man up front to take them deeper in the playoffs.
Suns draft:
Dunn
Chriss
Sabonis
I'm torn if the suns should resign Tele. The rebuilder in me says just go with youth....Give the kids a chance and let Tucker expire. Wait for Bogdan to come over and roll with in another year:
Len/Asik
Chriss/Sabonis
Warren/Bogdan
Booker/Goodwin
Bledsoe/Dunn
I don't really totally mind any of those.

NBA Fiend wrote:Some cat on Boston board Paul Gaston. I don't come up with it I just simply pass it along.
I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but a buddy tells me the 76ers might trade Nerlens Noel and Carl Landry to the Suns for Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe's coming off an injury and apparently the Suns like Noel's defense even though he's heading into the end of his rookie deal. Tyson Chandler didn't work out there, obviously, and they are trying to dump him. Suns are hoping Dunn will be there for them at #4, but there's a growing sentiment that's not happening. Boston is still holding out hope that a bigger fish will become available when they are on the clock (all the names we've heard about), but it's growing more likely they are going to just draft and keep Kris Dunn. If the Suns/Sixers deal goes down and Boston grabs Dunn, my buddy claims that it might end up as a 3-team deal with Boston sending the Suns Marcus Smart (expendable with Dunn) and James Young for Alex Len (who my buddy claims Boston likes) and #13. Boston would then try to trade up using #13 + #16 + #23 to move into the 7-10 range with hopes of that one of their targets will slip and become available (Bender/Hield/Chriss/Brown). But take this with a grain of salt. It's just what my buddy tells me. I honestly don't get the Alex Len thing at all. Isn't he heading into the end of his rookie contract as well? Makes no sense. I honestly don't believe this, but I'm sending it along, because I know this forum loves eating up garbage rumors.

So is it your friend or just some random dude on the Boston board? Is anyone taking him seriously?

No doubt we're one of those teams.
I don't know enough about him to determine if he's worth the 13th pick as I'm sure that's what they are looking at.
Someone asked me last night via PM if he thinks we would trade Knight (who he thought held more value than Bledsoe due to injury concerns) for Thad Young and Shane Larkin, and then he figured we'd draft Dunn and a PF at 13.
Bledsoe/Dunn/Larkin
Booker/LeVert?
Warren/Tucker
Young/Telly/Sabonis/
Len/Chandler

I could see trading Bledsoe and bringing Knight of off the bench or trading Knight and bringing Hield/Murray off of the bench. Dunn would start in the former proposal.

I think that is just guesswork unless they are really hard shopping those guys. I'm guessing they prefer it to be Knight unless they are really concerned with Bledsoe's injury issues.
At this point I almost feel like our pick is going to come out of left field. Like we take Dunn and trade one of those guys later.

I'd offer #28 and Knight for Thad, but nothing more. They would also need to give us a 2nd and another player.

I would not trade Knight for Thad, and I'm no fan of Knight.

As good as Marc Stein usually is, he is also the same guy that said for about 1-2 months that the Suns were going to trade Markieff Morris to the Rockets for Terrence Jones and Corey Brewer. He made it sound like it was a done deal and both teams were waiting for Brewer to be eligible for a trade. That obviously never happened.

1. Knight + #34 for Thad Young
2. Draft Jamal Murray or Buddy Hield al #4
3. Draft whoever is available at #13 of Ellenson, Sabonis, Davi and Labissiere.
4. Draft and stash at #28 or someone with potential like Diallo, Ulis or Maker.
Call it a great draft day.
They'll probably want a higher pick so they can draft and develop a team. I don't think Knight / 34 (or even 28) is what they have in mind for him since they aren't contending at this time.
I think they'll want the 13 if we're involved and I sense McD would do it.
You get an asset who you could trade later for a future mid round pick in a better draft.
Carey brought up Young a while back and I like this a lot. He's no all-star but he's athletic and starter-quality and locked up for several years. I was thinking we start with #13 and could add things like Archie Goodwin, 2nd-round picks, etc. if a bidding war gets going. A collection of low-level future-oriented assets seems to be what they would want, moreso than someone like Knight.

2 months was a long time for things to change though. I don't doubt this is true to some extent. Maybe not entirely though.
