Riley allegedly called Sam about OK4 after the draft last year. and rumors abound that Whiteside is available. potential 3 way deal?

Every Philly fan would say yes. Teams I see interested in someone like Whiteside:

Dallas
Portland
Boston
Milwaukee
NYK
NOP
CHI
LAL - but they wont give up anyone for Whiteside.

I'm not discussing Whiteside to Philly. I'm saying yes to Okafor on the way out in a 3 team deal. The teams mentioned above have an asset that would be going to Philly.

Toronto should be interested too. He would be a much better player/fit than JV. This assumes that Miami or a 3rd team would want JV as part of the return package of course.

Portland In: Hassan Whiteside
Portland Out: CJ McCollum

Philly In: CJ McCollum
Philly Out: Jahlil Okafor, Ersan Ilyasova LAL 2017 1st, some 2nd rounders

Miami Out: Hassan Whiteside
Miami In: Jahlil Okafor, Ersan Ilyasova, LAL 2017 1st, some 2nd rounders

I mean, if Pat Riley is that high on Okafor...

im not sure how badly Portland wants a C, but Id probably cream my pants if something like this actually happened where we got a legit guard without having to trade Noel

Why would Toronto want another player that wants the ball in his hands all the time haha

Whiteside? His strengths are rim protection, rebounding and rolling on the PnR and his usage was similar to Vslwnciunas the past 2 seasons. Pretty much exactly what the Raps could use at C.

Joel is now clearly in midseason form. He looks extremly Fit and Athletic and he couldnt be in any better shape. Hes stronger and larger than everybody he comes across. And since his minutes went up to 28 a game the Sixers have almost been the best defensive team in the league. He is most likely the most productive player in the league on a per minute basis. And he has got his team poised to make a playoff push. From the eye test to the stats he is something we have never witnessed before. Call me crazy but i think he is the best Center in the game.
They call me Hussien Fatal its a two game table im robbin you **** cradle wit a knife in your navel....

I can see Embiid changing his name from the Process to the Culture once they become a winning team.

He's the hero Philly deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll ridicule him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector.

the sixers are a lock for the playoffs next year. they have an outside shot this year. they have had a top 5 defense since early december.
