He legit dislikes Ball, at least as a player. We know where his mom stands. And he's better than him as well. His mom seems cool as hell and that just adds to Markelles aura.

How salty are you guys going to be when Ainge drafts Josh Jackson at 1?

Jackson is the quintessential Danny Ainge pick for real. Can't shoot, super athletic player who can guard 1-4, very competitive. I think I'd take him at 2. Get Bradley, Smart, Jackson and Brown on the court together and it'd be fun to watch for sure, especially defensively.

But I'm taking Fultz every day if they stay at 1. I will say if they can move back to #3 and pick up Saric or Luwawu from Philly I'd be pretty interested. Dunno why Philly would do that, though.

Maybe move back to 4 if Phoenix adds in Chriss or Bender (again, why would Phoenix do this). Or to 5 if Sacto adds in Skal or WCS? Dunno how realistic any of these options are.

Who are you guys targeting with the 37, 53 and 56th pick? I'm all over the Sindarius Thornwell hypetrain, so hopefully they can get him at 37 or use the other two pick to trade up a few spots and get him at like 33ish if needed. I'm sure his stock will rise a lot in the next couple months though. Barring that, hopefully they just use all three picks on stashable players; I think if they keep being able to stash a player or two every year it'll go a long way towards building a genuinely great team for a really long time. 56th pick in the draft may not look like a lot, but if you can draft the next Marc Gasol or Gortat or Dragic or even the next Jonas Jerebko and all it takes is stashing him in Europe for a year or two, that's pretty dope. Or just get some unreal freak who probably can't even play basketball like Diallo (this dude is absurd athletically).

Gonna be awesome for UW fans when we draft Michael Porter next year.

IT/Fultz/Porter.

I think trading Jaylen is moving him for 50 cents on the dollar right now. Much like all these deals involving the nets picks over the past two seasons. Celtics don't really have anything to lose by being patient.

I love Jackson and he would be my number 2 choice after Fultz but I put the odds at less than 5% that he's the choice. All the talk right now is poker from the GM. Fultz is the no brainer choice

Yeah this is how you end up not taking Michael Jordan because you already have Clyde Drexler. I think if both players reach their potential you could somehow fit them on the same roster.

http://fansided.com/2017/05/19/nylon-calculus-projecting-3-point-shooting-2017-nba-draft-prospects/

The basic elements are the player’s free throw percentage, 3-point shooting frequency and 3-point percentage. So, for example, Fultz and Lauri Markkanen both hit about 42 percent of their 3-pointers in college, but it was the big man Markkanen who hit 78 percent of his free throws to Fultz’s 65 percent and Markkanen who attempted 3s more often. So the models expect Markkanen to hit 38 percent of his 3-pointers at the next level and Fultz to hit 34 to 35 percent. The four percentage point gap may not seem like much, but it’s the difference between 1.14 points per shot and 1.02 points per shot.

It's important to consider that Fultz hits a much bigger portion of his 3's off the dribble than Lauri.

Josh Jackson is Michael Jordan now?

But to your point, that's like not taking Markelle Fultz because you have Isaiah Thomas on your roster.

Jackson has a nice game, but nothing I've seen from him at Kansas screamed "superstar" in the making. He looks like a slightly better Justice Winslow. If it was between him and Ball? Sure. But there's no way I'd pass on Fultz for him.

Fultz is from Maryland IT is from Hilltop Tacoma.

Came from the same general area as Reggie Lewis. I see tons of comps to Reggie in Fultz (which is a VERY good thing BTW).

Yeah i dont understand this either.. Brown has already show us that he can play the 2 position.. So thats no problem at all.. He's athletic and quick enough to play on that position as well. And it gives our team some length with Brow at the 2 and Jackson at 3.

Yep, agree. For the Celtics alone a few guys shot higher % from 3 than Isaiah this year, but IT being able to consistently hit them on the move means much more than the others.

Not sure about others, but Lonzo apparently shot 80% from the FT line as a senior so his % will probably be a bit higher in the league than this projects.

Pretty sure Fultz has to jack up his workout to not be picked. Let's see:

1. Stud PG
2. Good family
3. Will work out for Cs
4. No problem coming off the bench
5. Has no problem deferring to IT while he learns

That's just some of why the Cs will draft him outside of the best player thing.

Not sure why Fultz would work out, he has nothing to gain.

Or we can have Fultz at the 2 and Brown at the 3 as currently slated.

Again, Jackson is a nice player, but he's not at the talent level as Fultz, who at his age is a lights out shooter. Jackson is an average shooter, like Brown. And for us, we need to acquire shooting to stretch the floor for Isaiah. Jackson doesn't do that anymore than Brown currently does.

What are they going to do with the three second round pick ? Keep them ? Trade ?

A trade with Crowder + 2nd rd picks for a pick between 12-15 would be great.

Some guys like Jordan Bell, Johnathan Motley, Anzejs Pasecniks, Cam Oliver, Jonathan Jeanne, Caleb Swanigan...

Not sure they will end up in the second round, but you never know.

With Crowders contract/production you could move into top 10 easily. I think Wolves would give you their pick for Crowder + late 1st/early 2nd round pick. Thibs love players like Crowder and they need 3&D wing badly. But doesn't make sense for us really.

He said he would and also, the Cs are notorious for their pre draft workout. Get him in against Avery. IT, Smart. Jaylen. Have them work him over. This I believe is the greatness of Markelle. He will do whatever it takes or whatever is asked of him.

Remember that great picture of DJ working out Kobe? How it was one of the hardest? I bet Fultz's will be the same and I want to remove any doubt if there is any that he is who they need to pick.
